| I have a model that uses some of the small flex tubing (from the pod racer set, to be precise, so it's black). This model uses it quite simply! It's just a straight length, a certain number of studs long. I trim it to the correct length before final (...) (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

| (...) If the ends are covered, you don't need to worry too much about the end points. So you can take on of the end points and scale it to your needs, as you say. You can start with this line: 1 16 -40 1 0 0 -20 0 1 0 0 0 0 1 76.DAT and change the (...) (24 years ago, 7-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

| (...) Cool. That worked. I had to edit the MPD by hand, though, I could not just edit the matrix values in MLCad directly. I think I found an MLCad quirk though. With non unit scaling/rotation factors I found that I could not move the part in the (...) (24 years ago, 8-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.mlcad)

The part you were presented with just now is probably the exception: No other parts in the LDraw library should be scaled to other sizes than the ones they come in. But then again, (...) | (...) That sounds very reasonable. But the cylinder isn't a part, it's a primitive. So to insert one, the user would normally use a text editor of some sorts, not an LDraw editor. The user, being an advanced user, would probably scale the element in (...) (24 years ago, 9-Aug-00, to lugnet.cad)

OK, I have done a similar thing in my PCC which uses yellow tubing for handrails. the tubing needs to be 14 plates high so I changed the length -20 to -14*8 by hand in the mpd to get the length right, then moved/rotated the tubing around in (...) The suggestion given earlier to create an ersatz part that embeds the scaled 76 in it, ensuring that the 76 is somewhere else, sounds like it might fool your scaler into (...)
