I'm not sure there is anything you can do.  During the development of
LDView, I have had this or similar happen numerous times when I had code
doing stuff it really shouldn't have.  Of course, developing software in
Windows 98 is in itself a very frustratring process.  If I go more than an
hour of solid development, test-runs, and debugging without having to
reboot, I count myself extremely lucky.  And, to make matters worse, the
reboots are usually hard reboots after a system lockup, requiring the long
wait for the disk check.

Obviously, LDView still has some bugs in it that are causing it to crash,
which I can eventually hopefully fix.  If you come up with anything that
will consistantly cause it to crash, I would appreciate it if you let me
know, and I will see if I can reproduce it on my system.  If I can reproduce
the problem, I should be able to fix it.

OK. The previous version, L3DView 0.5 worked on my system, but this later
version LDView 0.6 just gives me a blank page. It loads the model • allright (it
takes time proportional to model size at least), but nothing renders, • just the
background color (which can be changed).

Hmmm, I have a similar problem that perhaps someone knows the answer to.
LDView (and ldglite when I mess with the source) occasionally crashes.
Once that happens I always get a blank page on any opengl program until I
reboot.  I've seen this on several very different machines (but always • using
the software opengl).  It's like some opengl resource (DLL?) is locked up
somewhere in memory and I don't know how to kill it without rebooting • Windows.

Has anyone else seen this, or better yet, have a solution that doesn't • involve
rebooting?

Thanks,

Don
