Thank you to everyone who is helping me! It makes me happy that people are
willing to do this. :) Hmm.... The problem may be that when I go into dos
and type edit c:\autoexec.bat I get an empty file in the editor. My
computer shows it, and explorer says there is nothing in it either. No
wonder I couldn't find it. Is there a setting that is preventing me from
editing this? The other autoexec has all the information is it, it just
doesn't change anything when I edit that.

| (...) It's not surprising that your autoexec.bat is empty. Well, a little surprising, but not super-surprising. You should be able to edit c:\autoexec.bat in any text editor. In Windows, run the sysedit program (also opens some other important (...) (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad)

| Yes! It works. Thanks peoples! I put the set command in the blank autoexec and that did it. dang win98. Yeah! what a neat program. anyway, one last question, where do i need to put l3pao.exe so I don't get "runtime error "76" PATH not found" ? (25 years ago, 9-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad)

| Ok, its probably because I'm a dos dummy. I'm sure this is a simple answer, but I'd really appreciate help. Using win98, I got Ledit/Ldraw going fine, got l3p, edited my autoexec.bat with set LDRAWDIR =D:Ldraw, and now I'm stumped. I've been putting (...) (25 years ago, 8-Jul-99, to lugnet.cad)
