Re: LSynth 3 available on kclague.net

(...) Nice to see lsynth3 out, but I can't start it up, I'm getting: "Error: Unrecognized fill type FIXED21 for hose type MINIFIG_CHAIN. Aborting". (16 years ago, 1-Mar-09, to lugnet.cad)

  LSynth 3 available on kclague.net

Hi gang, I got LSynth 3 uploaded to www.kclague.net/LSynth. It has only the lsynthcp executable and the lsynth.mpd file. There are no directions to install or use it. Willy's LSynth3 beta test page can help you get started, but if anyone is willing (...) (16 years ago, 1-Mar-09, to lugnet.cad)

  2009/2010 LDraw.org Steering Committee: Result

Hi folks, only five people have accept their nomination for the election of the 2009/2010 LDraw.org Steering Committee[1] in response to this message: (URL) election itself has therefore become obsolete.   Re: Learning LSynth

(...) That is great news. It means it should be relatively easy to add any new parts LEGO introduces (like the treads, or the NXT cables) without having to change the actual program. I'm looking forward to the release. Jetro (16 years ago, 27-Feb-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Learning LSynth

(...) Also, the new LSynth combines adjacent segments to minimize the number of segments in a hose. As long as adding the next segment does not push the overall angle beyond a an angle threshold, the next segment is merged with the current segment. (...)   Re: Learning LSynth

(...) Jetro, The new LSynth (I am actively working on a release as of yesterday), does not have these problems, so there is no need for a new feature. Don Heyse, Holywood and I worked a lot on LSynth..... All the hard coded parts described by Eric (...) (16 years ago, 27-Feb-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Learning LSynth

(...) Thank you for your clear and simple solutions. Since it is relatively simple to get this to work I suppose it will be one of the new features of the upcoming release (hint, hint...) Jetro (16 years ago, 27-Feb-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  SR 3D Builder 0.3.3.1 released

Hi everybody About once a month the annunce of an updated release of my SR 3D Builder Application (hope I'm not boring anybody) Anyway, here it is, with nothing really new, but a hard work for fixing bugs and including latest releases for Official (...) (16 years ago, 25-Feb-09, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Learning LSynth

(...) I guess today is your lucky day because I have had to do something very similar. First of all, be aware that the LSynth primitives used for pneumatic tubing, flex tubing, flex cable, fiber optics, and rubber bands are all basically the same (...)   Re: Learning LSynth

(...) Thanks, so it's not just me not being able to get it to work :-) A related question: I'd like to render a Fiber Optic cable like the one in the Spybotics sets which is quite a bit thicker than the ones that came with the FOS. Any thoughts on (...) (16 years ago, 26-Feb-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Learning LSynth

(...) Instead of "RIGID HOSE", use "FLEX SYSTEM HOSE". They mean the same thing, but the second one actually works! Yes, you should always use the LS00 constraint part. In this case, 77.dat will be used to generate the hose which is just a short (...) (16 years ago, 26-Feb-09, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

  Re: Learning LSynth

  Learning LSynth

I'm trying to learn how to use LSynth and after reading the chapter about this tool in "Lego Software Power Tools" there are still a few things I can't seem to figure out. 1) What is the use of the RIGID_HOSE command? I can't seem to make it work. (...) (16 years ago, 26-Feb-09, to lugnet.cad)

  MLCad and LSynth

I'm trying to learn how to use LSynth and I've run into a couple of 'problems' that appear to be MLCad related (please correct me if I'm wrong). TO begin with, when I add an LSynth command in MLCad I automatically get a full set of lines including (...) (16 years ago, 26-Feb-09, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: How to have geometry locked

(...) Hi Domenico, There is no way to do this in MLCad. Kevin (16 years ago, 26-Feb-09, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: How to have geometry locked

(...) Thanks Michael for your useful tip. Now what I'm looking for is a way to "lock" this imported model, for "lock" I mean unselectable: I want to see it but I don't want to select it accidentally. Domenico (16 years ago, 26-Feb-09, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: How to have geometry locked

(...) If you are working with MLCad this is simple. Just go to 'Multipart'->'New Model' and then scroll in the parts tree to 'Document' then you can put your imported model as a subpart into your new part. Make sure that you put it at the location (...) (16 years ago, 25-Feb-09, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
