If you are working with MLCad this is simple. Just go to 'Multipart'->'New
Model' and then scroll in the parts tree to 'Document' then you can put your
imported model as a subpart into your new part. Make sure that you put it at the
location 0,0,0 so you can then switch also to the imported model if you need
some points.
I hope this helps in what you like to do.

| (...) Thanks Michael for your useful tip. Now what I'm looking for is a way to "lock" this imported model, for "lock" I mean unselectable: I want to see it but I don't want to select it accidentally. Domenico (16 years ago, 26-Feb-09, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
