  Re: Working on HP Door

(...) Hi all, It has been a while, but I am starting to post to LUGNET again. Related to this message, though it is very old, I have a question (to Adam). Is it made and if yes, who has it? Has anyone have it's doorframe, part #40242 made or (...) (20 years ago, 14-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  mega pov?

Is anyone here using megapov? Have you used the motion blur with it? Is it safe to download and install on computer? Thanks Steve (20 years ago, 14-May-04, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: NEW ANIMATION

(...) The wheels are programmed to turn as the truck moves across the screen. However the frame rate matches the rotation of the spokes pretty well. (URL) I am looking for a way to do motion blur which will also help fix this porblem I hope. Steve (20 years ago, 14-May-04, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.animation, lugnet.technic)

Re: parts i'd like to see in Lcad/MLcad

Hello steve "Steve Krass" <skrass@hillengr.com> schreef in bericht news:HxKKKn.1uwz@lugnet.com... (...) This animation look cool too. I have a new chalange for you: Make the wheels turn...   Re: Question about Java3D

(...) Orion, There is a Java3D developer installer for Mac OS X, so it isn't available to the public yet. My guess is that it will be in Mac OS X 10.4, which hasn't really been announced yet, other than the announcement that it will be demoed at the (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: color, contrast and brightness problems - any idea?

(...) Hi, I agree with you that the viewangle has a big influence on the picture if you use a TFT. As a result of this I think it doesn't matter how I finetune my TFT or grafic card settings. I have no real chance to fix the viewangle... hmm maybe (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

  Re: NEW ANIMATION

(...) Yes. This might sound a bit controversial, because a) Wax is new and unknown and b) because it is really more of a video composer than a 3D program. But my guess is that it will allow you to burn through the first stages in computer animation (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Gamma correction (was Re: color, contrast and brightness problems - any idea?)

So why does my monitor come in at about 1.7 on the first chart, and 2.4 on the second? I'll accept that the second makes it far easier to find the best match, but I won't accept that my estimate is off by 0.7 on the first chart. There's absolutely (...)   Re: Question about Java3D

(...) Thanks for the insight Kyle. Here's my next question... I'm not looking to buy a Java IDE (I've already purchased Delphi and Visual Studio in the last year) so I went looking for a good, free IDE. I've found 2 that seem to be in wide use: (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Question about Java3D

(...) Oh I should add, that while I haven't run my program on MacOS X, I have run the exact same code on Solaris, Linux, and Windows, and It was really impressive how it just worked. I didn't even have to recompile. :) -Kyle (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Question about Java3D

(...) Hi Orion. I've been lurking here awhile and I've seen the stuff you've done for LDraw. I'm glad I can finally answer a question or two. While I do work for Sun, I don't work in the group that does Java3D, however I do know some of the (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: NEW ANIMATION

(...) Thanks, So what your saying is use "Wax" if your a new to animation like me? Also about that program you are writing, I would like a to try it (When it hits the streets). :-D Thanks again, Jason Tiller (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: Question about Java3D

(...) I'm going to try to learn Java3D regardless of portability if for no other reason than to do something new. I already have a fair working knowledge of OpenGL, I'm trying to expand my horizons. This is why I asked if there was anyone who has (...) (20 years ago, 13-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Question about Java3D

(...) Read this. (URL) you want to consider using OpenGL instead since many implementations of java 3D are built on top of OpenGL. You can take any new OpenGL skills you learn with you to other languages. Don (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Question about Java3D

I'm considering learning Java and the Java3D API. The only official distros for Java3D I can find are for Windows and Solaris. My question is does anyone know how portable the Java3D extension is? Dos anyone have any experience with Java3D in a (...) (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: color, contrast and brightness problems - any idea?

(...) I get a lot of bightness/contrast variation on my notebook's screen based on what angle I view the screen. For instance, in the picture you link to above I saw white but with very little adjustment to the angle of the screen I also saw pink. (...) (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Gamma correction (was Re: color, contrast and brightness problems - any idea?)

Gamma correction (was Re: color, contrast and brightness problems - any idea?)

(...) Basically, the problem you're seeing is that Windows does no gamma correction, and your two machines have different monitor gammas. (see (URL) for an explanation) To fix this, in theory, you basically have to calculate your current monitor's (...) (20 years ago, 12-May-04, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)
