Re: Darth Vader Helmet on Parts tracker

(...) I'm not in any rush to do so. I'm still gaining experience from doing more symmetrical parts. I can see that the Stormtrooper's helmet could take as long or longer than Vader's helmet. The Rebel helmet could be done in a much shorter time: (...) (22 years ago, 31-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: possible rendering problem with LDLite and transparent parts

(...) Ok, but I just tested flat.dat with ldlite 2.3 and your command line: ldlite.exe -W2 -MS -S3.0 -C15 -A0.707104,0,0.70710...-0.650895, 0.390731,0.650895 -D1 -U02500,02500 -I-4 -K flat.dat It worked just fine on Win2K with only 192MB. However, I (...) (22 years ago, 31-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.models, lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: possible rendering problem with LDLite and transparent parts

(...) I am viewing them at full scale. It's related to the size of the work area, I'm pretty sure, rather than the resolution they're viewed at. 4000x4000 is a pretty good sized chunk of memory, I expect. Gyug sent me a note, he's looking into it. (22 years ago, 31-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

Re: possible rendering problem with LDLite and transparent parts

(...) How are you viewing the resulting image files? Have you looked at them at full scale? Your problem may be aliasing in the resampling of the images when viewed at reduced scale, and not a problem in ldlite. Check with Jacob for tips on how to (...)   Re: Help needed with cond. lines  [DAT]

(...) While investigating this, I determined two things. First, LDView does have a limitation that causes incorrect rendering of this file, but only when Primitive Substitution is enabled. Based on the way my smoothing code works, it's highly (...) (22 years ago, 31-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Happy Halloween Models

A&M LWorks is pround to bring you yet another BI! It's a little late or a bit early depening on how you see it but here are some fun models that you can build with your kids. Hey everyone - After some private email exchange with Wayne Gramlich and Kevin Clague, Wayne emailed me this (quoting with permission): (...) Wayne posted about AOI back in the fall, and I don't think it got many responses, if any. I know a few (...) (22 years ago, 31-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) And don't forget to visit the "Parts in process" section, they are all so incredible! Too sad I have no Vader Helmet, sure I would review your part, Thanks Paul, damien (22 years ago, 30-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Lego colors measured using a Pantone spectrometer...

(...) Great work, definitely a reference. Do you think the results are meaningful for software and screen display? Are screen RGB values and "real" RGB values the same thing or two different things (because monitor screens are bright or because any (...) (22 years ago, 30-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.general)

Lego colors measured using a Pantone spectrometer...

Hi everyone, Part of my real work involves worrying about color matching for print and screen. My company recently bought a Pantone Color Cue device which does exact color matching by simply placing the device over the item to match and press the (...)   Re: Darth Vader Helmet on Parts tracker

  Re: New BFC Spec

(...) I'm not sure if there are any others, but the LTrax meta-commands are definitely not in all caps. And, according to Tore (the LTrax author), the LTrax program doesn't treat them as case-sensitive. --Travis (22 years ago, 30-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: LPub and Lsynth page for tracking enhancement requests and bug fixes

(...) All of LDView's rendering code is actually already encapsulated into a static library. It's not a DLL because I decided that having the DLL complicated the LDView distrubution overly much (especially for screen saver support). It wouldn't be (...)   MLCad's Spezification description of buffer exchange doesn't add up  [DAT]

Hi Michael, As you know LPub tries to support MLCad's wonderful rotation steps and buffer exchange. Using the two together in LPub uncovers some incorrect behavior between the two. LPub does not deal with images when doing buffer exchanges as (...) (22 years ago, 30-Mar-03, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)
