(...) In August 2001 I did a render of Datsville with QUAL=0 (URL) be able to render the huge POV file (11 MB) generated by L3P in finite time on my old PC (450 MHz Pentium II, 128 MB RAM) the QUAL flag in the POV file was set to 0 initially using (...) (22 years ago, 23-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LPub 2.1.0.3 released

(...) Is there a doc anywhere describing how to use the MLCAD hose generator? I've been trying understand how all the points contribute to the curve but must be missing something obvious. Jennifer (22 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: Outlined part edges in L3P?

Excellent suggestion!! I've been wrestling with MegaPOV lately, having frustration with different size submodels and the find_edges settings. I want to keep the line thickness relative to the _parts_ and not to the render resolution, but since the (...) (22 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.inst)

  Size of electric plugs (4.5 / 12 V)

I decided to finish the lightbricks (2x2) I have started a while ago. When comparing the socketholes with those used by the 4.5 Volt technic motor 6216m.dat and the plug 766c01.dat I noticed that the size of the metal plugs in part 766c01 are too (...) (22 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

Storage box and Showroom window finished

I'm running out of 3DN's. Thanx to a dull and rainy day I have three parts finished, while I have only two numbers left ;-) The storage box and the handle are finished now. And another part I have finished is the old and rare 1958 showroom window. (...) (22 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Outlined part edges in L3P?

Hi Lars, I was wondering if you had ever considered adding a feature to L3P to provide the lines at edges of bricks, so that we don't have to use MEGAPOV to do so? The advantages are that we would not have to play with MEGAPOV settings to get them (...) (22 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: LPub 2.1.0.3 released

I just got another email discussing the use of orthographic camera and building instructions. The two do not work well together, and won't for the forseeable future. LPub leaves it to L3P to determine the camera settings. For a given LDraw file, (...) (22 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.inst)

  QTVR of a model

While beta testing LDraw Viewer, I created this model. It took only a few hours (spread out over a few days). (I created the model for real years ago.) I am also learning how to use L3P, so I created an QTVR of the model rendered with POV-Ray. (URL) (...) (22 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  mac.ldraw.org updated completely

I think I have gotten mac.ldraw.org completely updated. Anyone who would like to double check stuff please do. I changed the name to "LDraw Macintosh Community" (with a new graphic too) and got rid of "members" and "join" pages. James (22 years ago, 22-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)
