  Re: "Clusters" of Studs?

(...) Maybe it's better to call the Groups instead of Clusters. The file names would be less confusing that way. /Tore (22 years ago, 21-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

Re: Problem with LDraw-Mode and LDDP Bezier Curve plugin  [DAT]

(...) By the way, I forgot to say that it is rather easy to view the direction towards the control points, if you want to. I insert the coordinated for the end and control points as a comment, e.g.: 0 Bezier, n= 50 l= 130.02 ( 0 -5 0 ) ( 0 -73.09 0 (...) (22 years ago, 21-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Problem with LDraw-Mode and LDDP Bezier Curve plugin

(...) It is fairly well described here: (URL) I push the control points back and forth until the length of the curve is correct. This is done by numerical integration, and is rather CPU intensive. (...) Oh, you've already read it? It's not true that (...) (22 years ago, 21-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Problem with LDraw-Mode and LDDP Bezier Curve plugin

(...) I am also curious how ldraw mode generates the control points. Lately I've been working on a hoser for ldglite based on some code donated by Chris Daelman (which was based on the hoser spreadsheet). I've been experimenting with with ways to (...) (22 years ago, 21-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Callin' all numbers

In lugnet.cad.dev, Willy Tschager writes: <who all works on this> In the interests of making this info more useful I included info on my generic usage of the CAD tools too. I got into authoring because I needed a patterned part "yesterday" and (...) (22 years ago, 21-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad.dev, lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw, lugnet.cad)

  Re: "Clusters" of Studs?

(...) Hey, thanks for thinking of me! At present, I believe the only "official unofficial" stud primitives for the clone.dat project are studc.dat and stud2cl.dat. I'll have to double-check the studc2z.dat, though. In the interest of diplomacy and (...) (22 years ago, 21-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

  Re: Wheels and axles

(...) Yes, the cut-out fits into the 4.5V motor bearings ensuring a good grip. You can glimpse (if you want to :-) the cut-outs in the bearings in (URL) on non-locomotive 4 stud train wheels: (URL) and non-locomotive wheels: (URL) think all wheels (...) (22 years ago, 21-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Wheels and axles

Hello, I am creating some (train) wheels and now I have a question about the axles. The wheels I am creating are (with supplied x-3DN numbers) x242.dat Wheel Old with spokes x243.dat Train Wheel Old with Spokes x244.dat Train Wheel Old with Spokes (...) (22 years ago, 21-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Callin' all numbers

hi everybody, I just flicked through the history of ldraw (URL) wondering how many people work on this project, but sadly I got no answer. well, the easiest way to get some figures would be to ask some of the admins, but I also would like to know (...)   Re: Train Track Switch Progress

(...) I sold it to my best friend and I still knows where it is (mayby I can buy it back.....) His father was a teacher and during the summerholiday we could use an empty classroom in the school, 50 square meters filled with blue and gray (...) (22 years ago, 21-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: "Clusters" of Studs?

(...) I thought of 4x4, too. First I rejected the idea as I thought it would only save 15 lines in a file but then I realized that it can be used more than once in a file. I can't find any other sombinations that I would like to have. Maybe, maybe a (...) (22 years ago, 20-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

Re: Problem with LDraw-Mode and LDDP Bezier Curve plugin

(...) This is a very difficult situation to model. The fact that the end points are parallell make it difficult. Since there is little or no slack for the curve to curve itself in this case, you must make sure that the length of the curve is not (...) (22 years ago, 20-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: 4-4con12.dat

(...) I agree this should be done - I had completely overlooked the fact that 4-4con12.dat really is the same as 4-4con1.dat. Deleting parts isn't really supported by te update mechanism, and I feel a little uneasy about creating a real 4-4con12.dat (...) (22 years ago, 20-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: "Clusters" of Studs?

(...) In principle this sounds OK to me, but I would want to be somewhat restrictive about how many new files we have - 4x4, 6x6, 8x8 sound good combinations. What others? Regarding a naming convention, though, do we know how all renderers recognise (...) (22 years ago, 20-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

Problem with LDraw-Mode and LDDP Bezier Curve plugin  [DAT]

This question is mostly for Fredrik but anyone else that wants to chime in is welcome. Have a look at this rendering: (URL) some reason these flexible axles didn't create right. They have a kink in the middle instead of a smooth transition. I (...) (22 years ago, 20-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  4-4con12.dat  [DAT]

For the next parts update I would like to suggest that 4-4con12.dat is deleted or its content is replaced by "0 Cone 1.0 Radius 12" Then we can state a template: 4-4conN.dat, like the 1-4conN.dat we already have. The following official files need (...) (22 years ago, 20-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad)
