From the "prior art" section, the discussion of "what a skilled practitioner in the art would know as VRML" is unbelievable. I wonder if the writer made these claims in ignorance of the process that became VRML97, or was not even passably familiar (...) (22 years ago, 5-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Hmmm, an LDRAW Graphics Server, that could be nifty. But how about using XML-RPC to talk to it instead of WM_COPYDATA? Then you could control it from any platform, or a browser, or even a telnet session if you like typing raw XML. Don (22 years ago, 5-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad)

(...) I don't think you can avoid the full screen with LDRAW. It's a fullscreen DOS program, which means Windows turns over the entire VGA hardware to LDRAW when it's running. If you don't want to use the fullscreen, you'll have to use a program (...) (22 years ago, 5-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)
