Re: Why does it take long?

(...) Good idea I was thinking to do that but I was not sure if was best to do it but now that you told me I use that technic instead the long one. (...) (22 years ago, 13-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Why does it take long?

(...) Probably because you render every picture three times! Don't use POVRay for generation of time delay in an animation, use the animation software instead (setting time for a frame, duplicating a frame etc) -- Anders Isaksson, Sweden BlockCAD: (...)   New Mecha and LDraw Files

First off, I built a new mecha. Basically, I just wanted to add as much weaponry on it as I could. The bazooka is my personal favourite. ;-) It also comes with a zero-g pack, radome, and smoke discharger system. Naturally, I was inspired heavily by (...)   Where does LDraw look for files?

Found in LDraw FAQ: (...) That's perfectly clear, but still I have to ask: What if a file exists in two or more of these folders? Will it say: "Hey I found in 'The current folder'! Now I don't have to look anymore."? Or will it keep scanning and (...) (22 years ago, 13-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: New version of MLCad command spec

(...) Then again, if it's all in the "do not delete this notice" section, Michael's concerns will be addressed. Here's some suggested verbiage: (...) Steve (22 years ago, 12-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: Why does it take long?

(...) Ray tracing is very CPU intensive, and I guess also quite memory hungry. If you've got SDRAM then that could be a bottleneck. A P4 or AMD XP CPU running much faster with DDR would probably make a huge difference in this case, but I'm not (...) (22 years ago, 13-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Minifig Hand Cart?

Does anyone have an unofficial .dat file of the 2495 Minifig Hand Truck? (URL) have looked through the parts tracker and through old lugnet.cad.* archives without finding anything.   Re: ?-?circ.dat

(...) I think the ring primitives will give you a solution. Like the 1-4rin39.dat for a thin "circle". CU Bernd (22 years ago, 13-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts.primitives)

  Re: Chrome Parts

(...) Hmm. The gold looks the best, I think it's at least partly because we can establish a color value for gold that is distinct from the standard yellow. The electric contact is second-best, IMO. I just couldn't see enough difference between the (...) (22 years ago, 12-Aug-02, to lugnet.cad)
