Dibs on 2x4, Left & Right, Wedge Bricks!!! (was Re: Avoiding Duplication of Effort)

(...) Yeah, I figured this out about two hours ago. Dibs, people -- I am calling dibs on the 2x4, left and right, wedge bricks. Please, do not author these parts! The main reason I was so put out by someone else doing the plates is that I am trying (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

New Part: Minifig Hat Bi-corner  [DAT]

I've given a try at creating my first LDraw part. Here it is, the Minifig Hat Bi-Corner from the pirate line. I don't know what the official part number is. Please let me know what you think. Thanks, Andy Westrate 0 Minifig Hat Bi-Corner 0 Name: (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Actually there is a reference here: (URL) Under the "What are Subparts" heading -Orion (make it billthefish and remove the obvious lettering to reply personally) (22 years ago, 13-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Avoiding Duplication of Effort (Was: 2x4 left and right half wedge plates)

Well duplication can and does happen. I'd be willing to create a part authoring intent page, but as I'm not allowed to run cgi-scripts on my website, all the entries would have to be compiled manually which, if I get behind, could lead to the same (...)   Re: Issue with some of the holds on the Parts Tracker

(...) Comments are always welcome over holding for insignificant errors. I try to check all the parts I've submitted at least ever couple days until certified, I really wish more part authors would check up on their parts regularly. OTOH, if you (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: mouse model manipulation

(...) Dang! I suppose that means nobody's gonna be all that motivated to investigate the updated version of GLUT for me. Wait, wasn't there a whole list of other bugs with the keyboard and the mouse? I'm sure this'll fix them. Go ahead, give it a (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: mouse model manipulation

(...) That's funny, both movies look awful on my computer. I suspect it's because they run at too high a resolution for the old piece of junk. Don (22 years ago, 13-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: mouse model manipulation

(...) Not really, but the technique used in LEDIT is to center the view on a part and then zoom, if I remember the tutorial correctly. I might consider adding a key to switch the left mouse button to drag out a zoom rectangle. Someday. Don (22 years ago, 13-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

Re: Building Instructions & LDraw File for Wedding Topper

Hi, I have to say I am honored that my model was so inspiring to you. It's great when other people appreciate the work you have put into a construction. Hope your other models/instructions are a success! Kevin (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad)

  is there a tool...

is there a tool that can split quads into triangles? i have a part reading "bad vertex sequence" and looking at it i cant see why is there a way to fix them other than splitting into tri's (22 years ago, 13-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: mouse model manipulation

(...) Works great. By the way, is there a way to zoom in on a specific portion of a model? Thanks again! Chris (22 years ago, 13-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: mouse model manipulation

(...) It works great! Mouse rotation works as it ought to now. Definitely a big improvement. I'm glad you were able to deduce what the source of the problem was from all the symptoms we were reporting. Thanks, Jim (22 years ago, 13-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

  Re: mouse model manipulation

The update rotates much more predictably. Here are some movies of the 2 different version. In the old version, a slight mouse movement flips the model quite a bit. In the new version, the model doesn't move so much. Both of them show the pointer. I (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad.dev.mac)

Bricks on the Brain Building Instructions Portal live!

Re: Issue with some of the holds on the Parts Tracker

(...) Hi reviewers, May be the post was also directed to me. I plainly assume some of my votes to be honest but ridiculous or arbitrary. In absence of a formal specification of what is a good part, voting is arbitrary in essence. In presence of such (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Self-Certification in parts tracker

  Re: Self-Certification in parts tracker

Cain that I have high respect for, because of their past and present monumentuous contribution. Their (...) (22 years ago, 12-Jun-02, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: can LeoCAD use the LDraw library?

(...) Hello, I am not an experienced LeoCad user but I believe you have to wait a part update at www.leocad.org, there is no other way known to me.
