Re: MiniBot Head Star Wars Battle Droid is complete

(...) I know how that is. I've only made one piece and it took me so long that I haven't found the motivation yet to do another. Anyways, I was just trying to be helpful, but perhaps I should quit cad.dat.parts until I make another piece so can I (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: Chains and wires

(...) You can download "emacs-20.7-fullbin-...86.tar.gz" or "emacs-20.7-bin-i386.tar.gz". The latter will take up less space, but does not include the full Lisp source, only the precompiled Lisp files. The .tar.gz files should be uncompressable with (...) (23 years ago, 21-May-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Chains and wires

(...) As for the chains, the individual elements exist in LDraw, so it's a matter of placing them out to form the chain you need. This can be somewhat difficult and tedious. (URL) it comes to the belts: Do you mean rubber belts, aka rubber bands? If (...) (23 years ago, 20-May-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Chains and wires

Well, as far as chains, I don't know. But for wires, flex axels, hoses and the like the "segments" of the parts are in the LDraw library. The best way, in my opinion, to create flexible segments in a model is to use Frederick Glockner's LDraw-Mode (...) (23 years ago, 19-May-01, to lugnet.cad)

  Door 1 x 4 x 6, plus corresponding frame.

Has anyone made the 1 x 4 x 6 door yet? It was made to match the 1 x 4 x 6 Window (3 sectioned), which has been used on later model sets, such as the Police and Res-Q HQs, bank (or should I say "branch office"), and the McDonald's set.   Chains and wires

Hi, I am a CAD newbie, and I have a question for you experts. How can I design chains, technic belts and electric wires? I saw CAD pictures with them somewhere, but I can't find the parts to be used in LDRAW. Can you help me please? I have installed (...) (23 years ago, 19-May-01, to lugnet.cad)

Re: MiniBot Head Star Wars Battle Droid is complete

(...) Annoying isn't it? (...) It didn't take very long (only a couple of hours) to put all of the lines on it. Then I checked it in MLCAD and L3Lab (1200%), and I saw that a chunk of lines that would not show where they should and a few lines that (...) (23 years ago, 19-May-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: MiniBot Head Star Wars Battle Droid is complete

(...) This piece is so cool. But some of the optional lines aren't quite right. A few appear when they shouldn't and some never seem to show at all. You can see this in l3glite. Load the piece and zoom in so it fills the window. Then spin it around (...) (23 years ago, 18-May-01, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  RE: BTTF DeLorean render

  RE: BTTF DeLorean render

(...) The lights are all part of the POV file, which is why it took so long to render. Atmospheric media (ie, the fog) is *slow*. --Bram Bram Lambrecht bram@cwru.edu (URL) (23 years ago, 18-May-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  Re: BTTF DeLorean render

WOW! thats a while. I don't think I'll try it, considering the amount of RAM that I have,it would take about 36 hours or more. Are the light effects in the headlights and thrusters part of the POV file or is it post prossesing?? Gary Bram Lambrecht (...) (23 years ago, 18-May-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)
