Re: Help with generating bmp/gif from ldraw parts?

(...) Just sent the file to your email address, you should receive it soon. Leonardo (24 years ago, 6-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Help with generating bmp/gif from ldraw parts?

(...) Well, I just re-generated all the images with no resolution specified. It did run full-screen, but it did not crop the images at all. When I view them in the VEC I have to scroll to even see the little parts like the 1x3 arch. This has (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Write POV file... in L3Lab

i was about to write and tell you that it dosent work at all but I tried it once more and found the model has to be in the LDRAW model folder. I thought it was supposed to render the model the exact angle it is on the screen but I must be wrong. (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Write POV file... in L3Lab

Is anybody using this feature (despite the warnings :-) ? If so, haven't you had problems with the camera setting? A last minute test of the Win32 version of L3P v1.2 revealed a compiler optimizer error (in MS VC++ 5.0), so I had to release a (...) (24 years ago, 6-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Help with generating bmp/gif from ldraw parts?

I have a similar problem with white space in LDLite. When I use it to make a picture it makes a window that takes up the whole screen with the part in the middle and a lot of white space around it. If I make the window smaller then I see only white (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad)

2 bugs in non-bugfix version (not sure if in BF release)

I noticed two annoying bugs in the non-bugfixed version when i was working on a model yesterday: 1. when on edit mode, if you click on the 3d-view and rotate it, the viewpoint resets to 0,0 at center as soon as you release the mouse button. this (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Re: LDAO problem--VEC check goes crazy

I checked the properties and it did have "Close on Exit" checked. When I choose About from the Help menu, it says that I have version 2.1.3. Just out of curiosity I tried a few things like running PARTPROF from a DOS command line and executing the (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Parts Library Posted to ldraw.org

(...) I agree completely. It is farfetched. I was trying to use the statements already available, as opposed to operating in a total void. Unfortunately, there is no LCAD organization to oversee the handling of the submitted parts. The terms stated (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

Re: New Part: 6572 Steering Knuckle Arm w/ Towball

(...) This certainly adds a new dimension! :-) Thanks for clearing this issue up. I appreciate the information. Fredrik (24 years ago, 5-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: New Part: 6572 Steering Knuckle Arm w/ Towball

(...) But long parts oriented along the X-axis are usually symmetric -- like bricks and beams. Often, parts with one asymmetric axis (ie, parts with a sense of 'front and back' or 'left and right' or even 'base and tip') are oriented with the (...)   Re: Help with generating bmp/gif from ldraw parts?

(...) That's odd--LDLite crops images to the space actually used. There shouldn't be any white space. Ever, as far as I know. Have you generated images with the resolution set to '(default)' (or don't set resolution at all). With this option, LDLite (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: What a pain...

(...) I believe Bram Lambrecht is working on that one. It was posted fairly recently to the lugnet.cad.dat.parts group. (You mean the 4x5 base with two seats, right?) Fredrik (24 years ago, 5-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: New Part: 30248 Helicopter skids (WAS) Re: Looking for parts

(...) Are you sure about that? It has always been my impression that "long" things face the X direction in LDraw. Take a look at the Car Bases, for example, a majority of them span the X axis. I can't see why the helicopter base shouldn't. Fredrik (24 years ago, 5-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: LDAO problem--VEC check goes crazy

(...) Make sure there's a PARTPROF.PIF file in your LDAO directory. In Explorer, this file will probably show up just PARTPROF, with the type "Shortcut to MS-DOS Program". If you've got the latest version of LDAO, this file should be there. (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Error message when starting LDAO...

(...) Augh! LDAO didn't install it, because it's not included in the LDAO setup! Drat! Now I've got to figure out what's up with that! Steve (24 years ago, 5-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: What a pain...

(...) That one hasn't been done. Yet. I think. (...) Try part 6120, Minifig Ski. (...) You can search for parts at (URL), but that only includes officially released parts. Otherwise, search at (URL) for unofficial or pre-release parts. Steve (24 years ago, 5-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: New Part: 30248 Helicopter skids (WAS) Re: Looking for parts

(...) How about the 'Plane' category? The existing categories for vehicle-related pieces are Boat, Car, Plane and Train. Out of those, Plane seems like the best bet to me. Although the skids wouldn't actually work on a plane (at least not more than (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
