Re: Voting Open for LCAD Parts Update 2000-01

(...) Cool. I'll look at the other propellors (note LDraw-spelling) and rotors to see if their names can be adjusted to match. (...) True, but what category? The differences between propellors and rotors are small (for our purposes), but the (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: New Part x43p01 Flag 6 x 4 with Pirates Pattern

(...) This looks very good. Is thus really done with BMP2DAT ? I thought that program pixelated the image. Just one small comment - maybe the skull and bones areas should be colour 16 (base part) rather than 15 (white), as I believe only the black (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: New Part: 30149 Car Base 4 x 5 with 2 Seats

(...) I'm not sure what you mean by "arctan(32/2) degrees". The arctan() function doesn't give an angle as a result, does it? Anyway, I don't have one of thoese pieces handy, so I'm not sure what the curve looks like. If it's less than 1/4 of a (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: L3Lab is so awesome!

Mouser X <mouser_x@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:FtDxD3.LMB@lugnet.com... (...) Sorry for the unclear humor. "L3" stands (I think) for "Lars, LDraw, & Lego", so it was really quite silly of me to attribute L3Lab to someone named "Tore." If (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Suggestion for new meta command & help request

(...) I learned all I needed to know about this from the comp.graphics.algorithms FAQ. Try to grab it, the subject is well covered there. Fredrik (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Suggestion for new meta command & help request

(...) <SNIP> Frederik, I think I confused you, because I mixed some things up it seems... I will check the thing with my rotations in MLCad maybe you are right and I don't rotate anlong the origin of the part ... at least that's the feeling I get (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Suggestion for new meta command & help request

(...) I don't understand this. What if the user wants to rotate by something which isn't a multiple of 90°? Say, 30°? If the rotation point is off by one (or even a half) stud, it isn't going to work to offset the part afterwards. Unless you offset (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: Voting Open for LCAD Parts Update 2000-01

(...) Sounds good to me! (...) I think they should be combined. We don't have that many propellers/rotors anyway. Besides, it is probably better to put them in the same category, as the user will spend less time searching for individual parts. (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

  Re: Thin structures with antennas

(...) You could probably put something fairly heavy on top, as long as it balances pretty well and there is no stress. A crane, for example, would not work! ;-) (...) Nah, I still haven't kicked the habit of making only vehicle models, so it will (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.ideas)

  Re: Tie Fighter render

(...) One thing, though. From what I can remember from the movie, the fighters spun around all the time. Perhaps the image would look more "funky" if not all the fighters were level? Fredrik (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

Re: Suggestion for new meta command & help request

(...) I believe the problem is not the rotation point itself if the center for rotations is set to a stud or between two studs every thing would work fine, since the default step width of MLCad is halve a stud. So after rotating you can place it (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Things for the next part update

Hy, today I found a problem in 3040p32.dat line 4 which contains a statement 0 Color update: Bram Lambrecht theoretically fine but it collides with LDLite's and MLCad's COLOR meta command, I don't have a LDLite at the moment to see how it's (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Voting Open for LCAD Parts Update 2000-01

How about the following name-changes: 6041.DAT Propeller 3 Blade 1.5 Diameter 4617.DAT Propeller 3 Blade 5.5 Diameter The only other information morphological information would be connection-type, but I don't see a strong need for that.   Re: Thin structures with antennas

(...) Cool! Can it hold up more than it's own weight (ie, could you put a control cabin or something like that on top)? Do you plan on incorporating this into any models? --Bram (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.ideas)
