Frederik,

I think I confused you, because I mixed some things up it seems...

I will check the thing with my rotations in MLCad maybe you are right and I
don't rotate anlong the origin of the part ... at least that's the feeling I
get slowly ...

Now lets forget about the rotation stuff itself and revert back to the main
problem I have:

Many people requested that I should do something so that it is possible to set
the rotation point for a rotation.

I need help to understand what this rotation point is all about.

Maybe someone can provide a formula assuming I provide the following values:
1) The rotation matrix and offset values for the part to be rotated
2) A rotation matrix computed from the rotation angles or the matrix entered.
   (e.g. rotation-angles x = 0, y=90degree, z = 0 ==> 0 0 1 0 1 0 -1 0 0
3) The rotation point itself

How would the correct compution look like now?

PLEASE HELP ME!

(...) I don't understand this. What if the user wants to rotate by something which isn't a multiple of 90°? Say, 30°? If the rotation point is off by one (or even a half) stud, it isn't going to work to offset the part afterwards. Unless you offset (...) (25 years ago, 24-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)
