What's the approved method
for making the curve from 0 degrees to arctan(32/2) degrees with the correct

I'm not sure what you mean by "arctan(32/2) degrees".  The arctan() function
doesn't give an angle as a result, does it?  Anyway, I don't have one of thoese
pieces handy, so I'm not sure what the curve looks like.  If it's less than 1/4
of a circle, I'd use the 1-4edge.dat primitive, shape it to fit correctly
(ignoring the excess) inline it, and remove everything not needed.

Also, how would I go about creating the section of a flattened
torus which creates the ribbed parts of the base of the seats? (I hope
someone understands that question :/

Again, without looking at the piece in question, I'd use one of the cylinder
primitives.  Depending on how deep a curve you need, you could use the
1-4cyli.dat, 3-8cyli.dat, or 2-4cyli.dat.  Just rotate the primitive onto its
side, turn it so the straight edges are even, and modify the Y components to
flatten the curve.

One example of this approach is the 1x2 log brick, 30136.dat.  The sidewalls of
the brick are made out of flattened 1-4cyli.dat pieces.

Also, one last question: is there any particular order the lines of the
finished piece should be in?

No, but I'd recommend putting lines and conditional lines before the polygons
which touch them.

Generally, I put lines in the following order.  Probably not an entire large
file, but within each section of the part.

1 - lines, conditional lines and edge-only subfile references.
2 - subfiles which contain both lines and surfaces.
3 - polygons and subfiles which contain only surfaces.

Hi all, I've gotten pretty far on my first part (if you can think of a better name, please tell). However, as this is my firts part, I would like people to critique what I have done so far. The only part I haven't finished is where the seats curve (...) (25 years ago, 21-Apr-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
