Re: updated part: 971 minifig leg right

(...) Thanks - looks like I introduced this error when I split out the decorated surface. Please send to partsref@worldnet.att.net for inclusion in the next update, as a correction. Chris (25 years ago, 16-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Need volunteer to test LdGLite on accelerated hardware.

(...) Yeah, I know all about that. A few experimental releases back I was printing NULL strings instead of actual version info (Which made it crash on linux). The current experimental code grabs the version after opening the window. So have you (...) (25 years ago, 16-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Re: which viewers are getting used?

Yeah, Sproat straightened me out on that. I'd originally thought to have folks choose what they use *the most*. Maybe it would be better to have people choose *all* the tools they use? The database this is generated from is ridiculously simple, but (...) (25 years ago, 16-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Any way to reduce polygons?

<Cough!> Okay, time to crank my brain I guess. I'm going to be working with a .dxf file. If anyone has more advice specific to those, then I'd really appreciate it. Steve, thanks for the help. I'm going to give this a go, but when ever it comes down (...) (25 years ago, 16-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad)

[...SNIP...] (...) Some (almost all) implementations of OpenGL Drivers only after creating a window do: - reset the GL_ERROR state variable - supply correct state strings which obviously include the GL_VERSION (and all other) string(s). Make sure (...) (25 years ago, 16-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

Need volunteer to test LdGLite on accelerated hardware.

Would anyone with a 3D accelerated video board running windows like to run a test on LdGLite? The current windows executable in the experimental ldglite source zip file prints out the opengl version used. When it uses the unaccelerated software (...) (25 years ago, 16-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) I really liked this model. I chose a camera angle from directly in front, and low. It looks great with the claws coming out at you. (URL) (58K) So what happens to the decals? Why don't they show up when rendering in POV? -Chuck (25 years ago, 16-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad.dat.models)

  Any way to reduce polygons?

When converting models to dxf format with dat2dxf, you end up with a tremendous number of polygons in the converted model. This means that any program used to view the file has *tons* of work to do. Anyone know of way to simplify dat files down to (...) (25 years ago, 16-Mar-00, to lugnet.cad)

  which viewers are getting used?
