Re: A good day for mecha? You decide...

(...) Thanks Dave. t-bot arms are cool- I still use them some (they're great for chicken walker types), but have you tried using the ball joints found in some of the bionicle sets yet? Later, Todd (23 years ago, 10-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.technic.bionicle)

Re: A Great Day for Minimecha

Yikes! there's too many sweet little things to comment on, anyway, the hard suit is awesome, that really stood out IMO as cool, and the group photos rule! You should snap a pic of them all have a big o' fight! A rumble of the minimechs. Hehe, that'd (...) (23 years ago, 9-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: A Great Day for Minimecha

Fantastic! I love looking at mecha I haven't seen before and origami mecha is no different. Melding square plastic pieces into human-like form just isn't easy to do.   A Great Day for Minimecha

Hey all, I took some pics (ok, a lot of pics) of my new and/or updated origami mecha. Quite a bit of new stuff to see. Check em all out at (URL) (23 years ago, 9-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: This is stupid... I can't tolerate this *juniorization*...

Hehe, I was really mad when I first wrote it. To be honest though, when I think of mechs the first thing I think about is Colossus because the first time I saw it my jaw dropped :-). It's sort of burnt in to memory "Excellent mech=Colossus" -- (...) (23 years ago, 9-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Non-Lego Robotech Question

(...) Yep, just got the second box yesterday. :) (...) The DVD release is the complete uncut broadcast series. :) Everything is there, including the original eyecatches, which I don't think have been broadcast since the original run. Also, the (...) (23 years ago, 9-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: a small insignificant survey

Well, I don't build with mech at all, but I thought I'd toss my two cents in about my town/space/castle structures. Thinking back upon my oldest MOC...I'd say it strectched back ten years or so. Over the past five years or so, I've increased the (...) (23 years ago, 9-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Non-Lego Robotech Question

My apologies if this non-Lego topic doesn't really belong here, but I figured it was a good start. Does anyone own any of the Robotech DVD's? I was wondering if missing scenes were restored. I have some of the tapes from the late 80's and I know (...) (23 years ago, 9-Aug-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Yes waiter I'll have the big ol' mecha a la Metal Gear with a side of lots of missles. <waiter> coming right up sir! and then BAM this mecha comes trotting on out. Very nice.
