Well I am definitely not a expert, I've still got about 359 more degrees to
go on the mecha learning curve, but I'll try and give you some hopefully
helpful info anyway. Don't try to do anything really big right off the
start, start small and simple, like Matt said, maybe try some origami mechs
first. With origami mechs, they look awesome, and you don't have to worry
about super strong joints. On my gladiator, all of the joints are 1 x 1
clips on a 2 x 1 plate with a bar thingy. Very simple but they do the trick.
Then you have the fun of trying to use all sorts of wierd and seemingly
useless parts to make it look cool. Just my $0.02.
I give anyone the power to change or alter anything I just said, as I am
definitely not one to be giving help to anyone else. But I still hope that helps
