Just a simple crosspost because this truly belongs in .mecha. btw, I love
Vildegraas-he looks like variant of a mecha I worked on around a year ago. He
looks far better than mine, however....

Thanks much!
I browsed your site, but I didn't see the mech that you speak of.  Did I miss
it?  I'd love to see it if you have pics.

I doubt there are any pics left these days. It was a scorpion mecha that used
the enormous articulation or click hinges for it's tail. My problem was the
sheer weight of the thing. It was tough to support on it's own. The center of
gravity being so far to the rear didn't help matters. Eventually, I realized I
needed the 100+ click hinges for other projects, so I scrapped that particular
mecha. I'd estimate that it was probably 1/2 the size of your dragons, but could
support it's own weight on it's eight articulated legs...barely. Maybe I'll go
back to the click-hinge building one day, but for now, I'm finding Throwbot and
Bionicle limbs to be better able to support massive amounts of weight.

I'll get those pics up if I have any left on the hard drive.
