And trans-yellow.

- Style!  Blacktron I is all about style!

No argument there.

- Remember the story positioning; the Blacktron are spies, pirates and
theives that are out to steal technology and advanced equipment.  So what
would they need to do that?

This part is speculative.

It is true that that the Space Police seem to have occasionally captured a
Blacktron, but who can say what that may mean? The precise nature of the
relationship between the Space Police and the Blacktrons is unknown.

Given that, questions arise: Who are the good guys(are there good guys and
bad guys, or just political disagreement)? Are the Blacktrons part of a
rebellion? Why do Space-heads love Blacktrons? Are the Blacktrons part of
some weird unisexual race? Are they homosexuals?  Where are the female
Blacktrons? Why are they always smiling (admittedly, baring one's teeth is
fairly sinister in and of it itself)? Do they have pets?  Do the Blacktrons
like cookies? Do the Blacktrons brush their teeth? Do they have teeth? What
do Blacktrons do for fun? Do the Blacktrons have art?  What kind of music do
they listen to? Do they *like* being captured by the Space Police? Are the
Blacktrons lamers? Are the Blacktrons inveterate communications
eavesdroppers? etc.

(...) Actually, a story like that (pretty close) was in the US and Canada LEGO catalog around 1988. Additionally if someone in the Atlanta area needs to use a BT1 minifig, I can loan you one for picture taking purposes. -Jason (23 years ago, 16-Nov-01, to lugnet.build.contests)
