Since the competitors are the judges, I would say it is up to them. This
contest is a BT1 contest so I hope most entries try to stay true to BT1
design. Although this is harder to judge with only 6 official models to use
as a guide.

Well, in my opinion... which is what I'll be going by with my votes, I'd
define Blacktron-ism by:
  - The color scheme is black with yellow glass.  Detailing is done with
yellow and with trans-red.
  - The figs are all black with the signature Blacktron chest.  If you don't
have one, an all-black guy with a black visor would be a decent stand-in.
And if you choose your camera angles carefully, we'll never know anyway.
  - The model is modular in some way, and preferably compatible with your
other entries.  I don't see this as required for the smaller categories, but
it is a huge plus.  Almost as much as the color scheme, this defined the
subtheme.
  - The style is similar to the original sets.  This is very subjective, but
applies to level of detail, types of parts, etc.
  - The logo would be nice... but more importantly, the lack of *other* logos.

Also, I can loan a fig for picture-taking purposes to anyone in the Seattle
area who wants to enter.  I'd imagine that if any of you have a friend with
a BT figure, that person would likely be willing to loan it to you.

Note that I would rate the Meteor Monitor very low... I don't really
consider it a Blacktron set, as it a has different color scheme from all of
the other sets in the series.  Your mileage may vary.

In the end it comes down to the ones who get the votes.

Yes- as I said above, this is how *my* votes will lean.  Vote otherwise if
you want, and don't count on the above guidelines working for everyone else.
