Wow, this is a lot of excellent house in a tricky package! But I especially fawn over the fixtures! The Rich/Elliott bathroom measuring 6x6 has it all: toilet, shower, sink, window, door. Wow! Perhaps my method of using college texts and then looking up specific buildings or movements on the web is the appropriate technique? I tend to seek information about the particular style of building I'm contemplating. For instance, when I was designing a cathedral, I spent a while collecting bookmarks of good cathedral sites. To a certain extent, I guess that saying (...) (25 years ago, 16-Mar-00, to lugnet.build.arch)

Hi Brad! Thanks for the compliment. I like your town pics. Have you made any non-orthogonal designs (non 90degree)? My station is octagonal (not the top) and almost 5 ft high on a 3.25" base. Interesting. You succeeded in using them in a merry-go-round like I wanted to originally (but failed). Interestingly enough, I gave up because I couldn't come up with a convincing base. The round plates where necessary because the width of the tower changes from an even number to an odd number, back to even and then odd. I had hoped (...) When the UFO stuff first came out, I scoffed at them (because I'm more into town than space). However, I decided that I wanted to build a merry-go-round and the circular pieces would make a good top. Rick Nice pictures. And thanks for letting me see this cool model firsthand. It's a brilliant use of stacked 1x1s. I like your "generic building." It's very tight with nice color coordination. On the gate house, it does seem a bit plain. Hi eric, I'd like to comment on a job well done! I love your city wall and gatehouse, as I mentioned earlier the use of slopes gives it a powerful touch. Very cool. Out of curiosity, did you do any structural tests or design before building it or did you just slap it up? Eric, you are doing some *terrific* things there. If you're not satisfied with the wall gate structure, I'd suggest making the outer face a little more interesting.
