I like your "generic building."  It's very tight with nice color
coordination.

On the gate house, it does seem a bit plain.  You could consider adding a
fancier roof or make the top look like an add-on structure in a different
color.

On my castle, I made the gate house a completely different color so it would
stand out a bit more (I stole the top design from an old LEGO idea book).
(Here it is in case you are interested:

By the way, have you considered doing anything with the wild-west "wood"
pieces?  I was able to build a medieval-looking house, although it was quite
a challenge.  I had to put the "wood" pieces going crosswise (i.e. the walls
are really thick so that the facade only shows the wood being one stud wide.
I only have a long-shot of it.  I'm not sure how well you can see it

lower-left.  I've actually expanded it and hope to post some better pictures
in a few weeks. )

Well I have finally gotten around to updating my Castle pages again.

http://www.nelug.org/members/kingsley/castle/

I have added the following structures...

1.  Right now this is just a generic building for my town although I do • like it
quite a bit.  This building came about mostly because I am running low on • key
parts in my favorite colors so I pulled out my classic bricks in classic • colors
to see what I could come up with and this was the result after many failed
attempts with bad color combinations.

2.  This is the Gate and Modular city wall design I have come up with for • my
Medieval city.  I am still not 100% happy with the top of the gate but at • the
moment I am at a loss as to how to change it.  So for now this is the • current
version.

http://www.nelug.org/members/kingsley/castle/citywall/

3.  This is just another peasant home done in the "Dave Eaton" style. • (Check
out the link on my page to his peasant homes).

I have made one change.

I have changed/updated the roof on my first peasant home.  Once again in • the
"Dave Eaton" style.

Finally I have added a page for my city.  Basically this is just a few • pictures
of all the buildings taken together.  I expect this page will change and • grow
as the city does.

<snip> (...) I might have to try that. That is not one of the things I have tried. (...) That's a very interesting idea. I have used up quite a bit of my log pieces in a couple of my Market builings but I might have enough for a small building. I (...) (25 years ago, 3-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build.arch)
