I notice the same smell coming not from my Plano boxes, but from large
quantities of basic bricks stored in LEGO buckets or tubs. I thought it
was the LEGO itself.

Does anybody manufacture with PVC anymore? I know that hard lessons were
learned by coin and sports card collectors when their album pages were made
from PVC. But I thought that there were newer plastics that had eliminated
the need for PVC. Not sure, just putting the idea out.
