Yep. That's what I've found-- Back when I had about 10-15 thousand pieces, I
decided it was high time they were sorted. So I went with the sort-by-color
technique. Some colors were not too bad, but mostly, it was hard to see what
pieces were the ones I wanted-- from the right angle, a slope piece looks like
it could be a 1x or 2x brick, etc. Also, finding black pieces was HARD!
Rooting through the black bin always took so much time and effort, I barely
could find anything. So about a year later, I decided to switch to sorting by
form, and I have to say that's what works best for me. And now that I've got
over 50,000 pieces, I'm intimidated enough that I don't think I'll switch ever
again!

| (...) Ah yes, that's the problem, getting over the intimidation of wanting to actually SORT the pieces. I originally wanted to sort by shape/form but found that I was going to be at it for the rest of my life (hey I was ten at the time) so I went by (...) (25 years ago, 4-Nov-99, to lugnet.build)
