The best thing to ever happen to lego...

Ok, I'm really psyched. All my life I've lamented the fact that lego canopies have sides on them, so that if you wanted to build a wide spacecraft cockpit you would have these trans walls hanging down inside (not counting the curved trans from UFO (...)   Re: It's a Mech...It's a plane...It's, uh, both?

(...) Better, I'd wager! Adrian, this is a super-fantastic transforming mech, definitely in the tradition of the Transformers and Robotech, but wholly unique. It would be an accomplishment just to have created either one or the other of the (...) (21 years ago, 1-Jun-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: It's a Mech...It's a plane...It's, uh, both?

(...) absolutely! I always wanted that one too! about 1 1/2 months ago I was able to get a blue max sterling robotech reissue-it comes in a 'book' like package & was about $80 at my comic store. it came with a little pilot fig for the cockpit!   Re: How cold can you go?

Well I actualy handle cold really well. Even though we do see some snow ive been known to go out in the snow in shorts and a t-shirt. For some reason my body does not get nearly as cold as everyone elses. Probably a hold over from some childhood (...) (21 years ago, 31-May-03, to lugnet.faq, lugnet.build)

  Re: It's a Mech...It's a plane...It's, uh, both?

(...) Thanks. If it wasn't for you though, I may not have even thought to build something like this for my next creation. One of the things I love about Lugnet, we're always inspiring each other, or taking ideas or themes or concepts from each (...) (21 years ago, 31-May-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: It's a Mech...It's a plane...It's, uh, both?

(...) The G1 Transformers like Starscream were a heavy influence on this design. The way the cockpit folds, the position of the nose, and in a small way the way the arms fold were influenced by the design of those old Transformers. Like you say, the (...)   Re: New Accessories

(...) (URL) Wickedly-awesome color choice! The medium dark-gray seems to have a shimmer to it! (or maybe It’s just the excitement making my eyes go blurry) ;) I never thought the weapons would look so natural in relation to the Minifig. I mean, I've (...)   PCS Rocket Launcher

Hey all you Spacers. I made the move to Lethbridge Alberta and got myself a job working for UPS. The job is about 11 hours a day which is very time consuming but pays good. That means building time is limited and the fact that I don't have a (...) (21 years ago, 31-May-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.build)

Re: How cold can you go?

(...) ABS can handle cold temperatures reasonably well, but not all LEGO bricks are made from ABS. The transparent pieces are slightly brittle at room temp, which makes me suspect that they're made of acrylic, and acrylic does not handle cold well (...)   Re: Panther instructions on BI

(...) Thanks for posting these instructions. I, for one, have admired your models since you began offering them (even if they were a bit beyond my budget<G>), but getting to see just how you approached creating one of them was fascinating and (...)   Re: It's a Mech...It's a plane...It's, uh, both?

(...) Hi Adrian, Wow, that looks great! I'm amazed at how much detail you packed into it while keeping it at microfig scale. If I tried to get that much detail and possability into a transforming jet I think it would end up being 20-wide (just the (...) (21 years ago, 31-May-03, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha)

  How cold can you go?

Ive just been told that I can have our porch as a Lego room all winter long. Thing is that its not heated. How cold can Lego's get? My dad suggested that being they are 'just plastic' they could probably get pretty darn cold. You just probably (...) (21 years ago, 31-May-03, to lugnet.faq, lugnet.build)

  Re: It's a Mech...It's a plane...It's, uh, both?

(...) I like the bulk of the torso & legs; the arms may be a little thin, but not that bad. on a bit off-Lego-topic is the general observation that all the transformers i've seen here on Lugnet have used major vehicle body parts for mech body parts; (...)   It's a Mech...It's a plane...It's, uh, both?

Transformers, more than meets the eye... Transformers, robots in disguise. Okay, so it's not an actual for real Transformer from the TV show, but hey, it's nifty enough. Presenting for your perusal, Talisaro. (URL) by Paul D'Urbano's transformer: (...) (21 years ago, 31-May-03, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha) !

  Re: Moses is Dead

(...) By the way, I love your dewbacks in the Tatooine scene. Nice landscaping as well. It's only a mild and occasional frustration that all the LEGO building I do these days goes toward The Brick Testament. I haven't really tired of building in the (...)   Panther instructions on BI

I just re-posted the complete building instructions for my Panther kit to the BOTB Instructions Portal. These are the same as the printed instructions that come (came) with the kit.
