I've been thinking that the spearheads from a pair of minifig spears are about the right shape and size for a minifig elf's ears... ;-) Now that I have a Dremel tool, I've been thinking of doing this myself (for elves for CastleWorld, in my case). I thought this was a fine first mech. The next few things you might want to work on is softening up the edges a little bit, and make the legs a little more mobile. Wayne, cool little fella for a mass-produced Brikwars army. But I think there's a few too many colors in there for my tastes. Plus, I'm not a big fan of those dome plate thingies for feet. The best way I've found for doing these little ones is to find out where the pilot will be, then build outwards from him, while maintaining a constant proportion. BTW, it stands around (...) Nice Job, Wayne! It's got all the basic requirements of a 'mech'-thin legs, big feet, joints and guns. As basic as it is, that seems to be a great starting point for something larger in the future. I like it, John! ;-) It has a very Gundam-inspired design (reminded me of a Zaku actually). It's cool how all your mecha retain similar design features. Your choice of colours was good too. I've added a new building to my town layout. Its modeled after the now demolished Academy of Music in Kalamazoo Michigan. The original was designed by Louis Sullivan himself and opened in 1883.   PT-Boat made from "Police Patrol" boat hull....
 
Here it is, something I've been working on for a little while. It's a PT-Boat, the classic ship from World War II, made from a Police Patrol set hull. Good question, Jennifer. Besides the lines: CALISTA ERIC HARSHBARGER JANUARY 2002 which act as a signature, there are a few words that popped up randomly... none greater than four letters long: FULL FILL NOUN are the ones I remember. There may be (...) (23 years ago, 26-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)

Stacks and stacks of 1x1 plates aren't structurally sound, though you could make it 2 studs thick and use clear 1x2 plates tied through to the front layer. (...) Dude that kick ass. Very nice. The lettering aspect totally makes the piece. FWIW, I've found if you pre-dither an image (in Photoshop or whatever) to the number of levels the mosaic will be in, you'll get really nice gradients that reduce the (...) WOW! Very impressive. As someone who is currently doing a pop art mosiac using standard 3033 type bricks (40 tubs worth of them!), I gotta say how impressed I am at with yours. I sometimes get frustrated with my mosiac, but having to make sure you (...) (23 years ago, 25-Jan-02, to lugnet.build)
