One suggestion though, add more armour to the front. The mecha has a lot of
bulk, yet the operator still is slightly exposed on the sides.

Yes, it somewhat looks like a converted civilian model
or test prototype with the seeming gaps in frontal armor protection.
Light mecha rely on speed for protection but
their ease of deployment will likely put them on "peace keeping"
missions where they would encounter small arms fire,
molotov cocktails, pointed sticks, hurled chunks of stale spamcake...
But such practical considerations don't keep it from looking cool :-)
Clever parts usage.

Cool MOC, as usual Mark. ;-D Like others have mentioned, the use of the Bionicle mask is very "neat" (okay, okay, it's totally sweet dude). One suggestion though, add more armour to the front.
