Thanks Mark.
Well, we haven't had our game yet (it's not until the middle of next month -
I'm notoriously lax in having my forces ready in time, so I'm starting
early). When we do, there should be a fair amount of pics.

I thought about using hinges to make the legs move out sideways, like in the
LoM mechs; and I still might, but I'm trying to sort of mass-produce
hardware for the game (see my above comment). I've been scanning sites and
brickshelf for mecha ideas, but my computer is not near the lego so it's
been a little frustrating in that department.

The next few things you might want to work on is  softening up the edges a
little bit, and make the legs a little more mobile.  Legs that are
perpetually stuck facing straight forwards give a mech a strange look I found.
So how did it do in the game?

Good job!

I know it's not anything spectacular, but it's my first attempt at making
anything mech. I built it for an upcoming BrikWar game as a fast recon mech.
I think I'm justifying the "ears" as heat foils to help bleed off the access
energy it generates as it runs.

I know; silly.

  Another BrikWars Mech

Okay here's number two. It's a medium-sized rocket Mech for an upcoming BrikWars game. It has two banks of 4 MkII missiles and two sets of 2 MkII lasers. With extra armor (if I've done the math right) bears it out at 180CP (sans the pilot). Anyway, (...) (23 years ago, 6-Feb-02, to lugnet.gaming, lugnet.build.mecha)
