If it makes you feel any worse, I hit upon that leg design while trying to adapt your A66's legs for the Bison :P This was easier to build than it was to CAD. Cool, I got 5.0 with my scanner and it's still not the latest version. I've been teaching myself to use it. Whoa 2.0! dust,moths and all! I'm really starting to get into the whole Graphic Art thing. I like it!, I did'nt read this entire thread, but I use Photoshop 5.0 and I know there is a filter effect for "Lighting effect" I forgot exactly, but you can point the direction of the light and everything! Pretty cool stuff....plus there is (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jun-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

I added the Bison to my site. It doesn't look like a bison, but I couldn't think of anything else. LMKWYT. There is a link to the Bison at the top of the home page. I personally like the dark tone to it. But that's just an opinion. The darkness around the gundam draws your attention to the BAR which is quite bright and seeing as that is probably the obvious focal point that Brian would want, it works pretty (...) Appleseed is an anime MOVIE, so therefore the only way to watch it is by renting it. And the movie doesn't really explain a whole lot about the mobile platform. Indeed, most of the students in the class slapped a pair of wheels onto a RCX and that was that. Part of what I tried to enstill in them was: This is what's possible, so why not make it a reality, Same goes for other aspects of their own lives, Make (...) Thank you, most of the students could'nt belive that the Robot used no glue, they had a hard time understanding that the whole structure stayed together under it's own construction. You got it all wrong. An MAP is only one specific mecha, it is not a class. In the anime movie _Appleseed_ Shirow Masumane made a whole new class of mecha called mobile platforms. I like this a lot. Very compact and functional. I'm really anto storage space and opening hatches and stuff. How deep is the cargo area? Does that little blue box open as well? Here is a small transport I made yesterday. I call it the Drone Transport. It has two engines mounted on either side of the vehicle with the intake scoops in the front.   Another good day for Mecha
 
Yes today was another good day for Mecha. Today I brought my big Mech-bot to New York City's Chelsea Vocational/Charter High School. Classes that participated in using Lego Mindstorms in the clasroom got to see what Lego can do and ask questions (...) Yeah, the "thorax" is where all the legs are connected. The turret is also connected to this place. Anyways, I probably shouldn't use terms like "thorax", but I don't know any other good name for that area. ;-) Maybe turret base, or leg connection (...) (...) well there are a lot of details that are kind of small that are directly from you're B-05. i was originally going to use a barrell tank style gun but it didn't look half as cool.
