I personally like the dark tone to it. But that's just an opinion. The
darkness around the gundam draws your attention to the BAR which is quite
bright and seeing as that is probably the obvious focal point that Brian
would want, it works pretty well I think.

The BAR is a darn powerful gun as Brian has stated so I think a motion blur
suits it quite well. But again, that's only my opinion. The downside of the
blur though takes away from the wonderfully mastered Gundam done by Brian
that is in an incredibly cool action pose

suits are fixed while firing.  In other words: no blur.  Could you make an
image without the blur, especially the one around the cannon?
2.  Add more light.  True, it is in space, but this is fantasy right?  What's
the point of having, lets say a Super Star Destroyer, if you stick to reality
and only the light from its windows is visible?
3.  Keep up the excellent work, it electrifying just watching the preview
images!

Some more experimentation,
simple directional blur on parts
of the image conveys motion
(left arm, top of gun, gun discharge).
Still haven't figured out how to do
realistic lighting effects without a
real light source.
