Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

The LEGO company would like to understand their consumers better and they need YOUR help! LEGOFan has been working very closely with the LEGO company recently to help develop and promote an online survey that helps them better understand their (...)   Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) I'm willing to help. Unfortunately, I'm quite annoyed at the fact that Canada is NOT listed as one of the countries that I currently reside. Or did we get assimilated into the US when I wasn't paying attention? Sheesh. -Bryan (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) (snip) (...) I took this, you can get to it from the (URL) LegoFan> page as well. I had to use IE to take the survey, it didn't work for me in FireFox. YMMV. I found it took about 15-20 min or so to take, you will be asked a number of (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

I just took the survey. It is long but I'm sure this important for the LEGO company. There are a lot of questions about how much on this and that (Playmobil, Fischer-Price, MB, etc). When they look at my replies, LEGO will probably think I'm a (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) I was able to take the survey using Firefox (on an XP system). It took me about 20 minutes to take, although I really wish that for certain questions, they would allow write-ins. They did on some, but not on a key one to me. Question 24: What (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) Eh, sadly, I think it's true. Most AFOLs are after cheap Lego because we buy so much. Not all of us, mind you, but most of us, I think. And of course there were a few things that weren't really quite .... right. Like "Do you buy less Lego than (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) A few minutes? It took me 30 minutes to slog through this. I do want to aid the LEGO community in learning about Fans of LEGO, and I want to help Brickfest, but please be honest on how long the survey takes. -- Nathan Wells (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

OK, I filled it out. Comments: 1) Geez. Kind of a pain in the neck. Like 70 questions, many with a dozen or more sub questions. It's like doing your taxes. 2) Seemed to be authored by a European. Several reasons: one, the number of questions as I (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) Ditto to both those reasons. 1) I have enough LEGO to build almost anything I want, 2) I don't have any money to spend, 3) if there is a certain piece or two I'm missing, I buy them on Bricklink. I wish the survey had let you back up to (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) Yeah, which is a big reason that the LEGO Fan team and I were able to wrangle a tangible reward out of the process. We knew that the survey was long and the requirements for head count were steep. In the "Everybody goes home happy" mindset, we (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) I felt the same on that. I'm generally uninterested in "sets", as I tend to build the model once and then tear it down as MOCfodder. So I'll buy a "set" when the things I want (new pieces, colors, figs) outweigh the things I either don't want (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) It took me about 20 minutes this time, but then again I was able to go through it a little more quickly since it was my second time through. It is kind of a pain, yeah, but I think it'll be worth it. On a related note, I'm very pleased that (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) That's not a bad little survey, all and all. One question, though--were the images that appear in the survey used with permission? It would be unfortunate if a useful tool were compromised by an overzealous picture-protector. Dave! (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) Well it does seem a bit harrowing, but I noticed a couple of anomalies: 1. The income question was missing the range 60-75K 2. The close button at the end didnt work (though that may be a browser compatability issue). Also there were a few (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

A few comments on the survey: A couple of questions seemed like trick ones to see if you are really an AFOL - like which themes are part of TLC, and which ranges would you recommend to an 8-year old boy's parents. I hope no-one recommended Clickits (...) (20 years ago, 16-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  weirdness

I found the questionnaire to be odd all around--questions unclear, multiple answers in one set, multiple questions asked different ways. This is a badly designed survey, quite honestly. (20 years ago, 16-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) I wondered that as well. At first I thought they ment a micro-scale theme, like the LEGO factory contest, but then I saw that they also included megablocks, and remembered that Nano was a clone brand. I wanted more nuance to those questions (...) (20 years ago, 16-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

In lugnet.announce, Scott Costello wrote: (URL) the survey now.> I tried - I get "Adult Enthusiasts Survey - Thank you for your willingness to participate, however this study has been completed and is closed." That was with both Firefox and (...) (20 years ago, 16-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) When I click to take the survey, the site says, "Thank you for your willingness to participate, however this study has been completed and is closed." Did the survey really last less that 24 hours? (20 years ago, 16-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) Not being a native english speaker, it took me more than 30 minutes to answer the questions but it has been a pleasure. I'm sure that we (AFOLs) will overshoot the mark of 150. The Legofan announce has been promptly translated into french and (...) (20 years ago, 16-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) Same here. Why does Jake ask for 150 people before april 22nd, when the survey is closed on april 16nd already? Or where they getting too many negative answers? Now TLC will never hear my answers... /\/\ark "inquisitive minds want to know" de (...) (20 years ago, 16-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) No kidding. Who were they trying to survey, people that are online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week? :-P Jeff (20 years ago, 16-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

(...) -snip- (...) Yessirree! I made it :-) (the true "online-fan" checks out the sites for new info several times a day, in fact, everytime a connection is available, or can be got to, unless it is building-time, of course! (in which case even the (...) (20 years ago, 16-Apr-05, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Lego company survey now on LegoFan.org

Interesting. I also took it on Firefox/XP, yet I didn't get anything like Q23/24, about decreased spending. It's too bad, too, as my 2004 spending was less than 1/4 of 2003, and 2005 has been nil except for pre-2004 sets and Duplo that doesn't have (...) (20 years ago, 17-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)
