Re: New LEGO Toys Based on Jurassic Park III

(...) C'est la vie. (...) From a legal standpoint, you may find it difficult to justify spreading around leaked information and photos just because people want it. (...) Ask LEGO. (...) Apparently this is the way LEGO wants it. Open a dialogue with (...) (24 years ago, 6-Feb-01, to lugnet.animation, lugnet.people)

Re: New LEGO Toys Based on Jurassic Park III

(...) You can respect it without understanding it. (...) If/when you do, remember that you mustn't share the information here on LUGNET unless it has been obtained legitimately. That's part of the T&C, and please respect it. (...) I don't know if (...) (24 years ago, 6-Feb-01, to lugnet.animation, lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.admin.database)

Re: Stop animation tips and software (was: Question about "2001: A LEGO Odyssey")

(...) I don't know what it has. I do know that Adobe did get around to implementing Firewire into Premiere. I think my problem was a camera issue. It was an older(used also) Digital-8. I found previous versions of Premiere to be unstable. One of the (...) (24 years ago, 6-Feb-01, to lugnet.animation)

Re: New LEGO Toys Based on Jurassic Park III

(...) Hey Suz, probably you are correct and I was really a little too fast when writing that posting. TLC can well decide when to release what kind of information. It's just that we still haven't seen any single "dpi" of Harry Potter yet as most of (...) (24 years ago, 6-Feb-01, to lugnet.animation, lugnet.people)

Re: New LEGO Toys Based on Jurassic Park III

(...) Perhaps they'd prefer all their competitors and cloners not see them yet. Or maybe their agreement with Universal prohibits it. Or maybe they'd rather save it to be news at Toy Fair. Or maybe there's still something about the models that they (...) (24 years ago, 6-Feb-01, to lugnet.animation, lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.admin.database)

Re: New LEGO Toys Based on Jurassic Park III

(...) So, obviously nearly everyone has already seen the images that appeared on brickshelf and disappeared no later. I am really surprised that nobody has made them available at a different server. However, many people seem to remember the contents (...) (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.animation)

Re: New LEGO Toys Based on Jurassic Park III

(...) Hm, if LEGO can release these facts now already, then I don't understand why they can't give us the images of these two sets right away. They *do* have images already. I know that because I have seen them. I'm pretty sure the set numbers are (...) (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.animation, lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.admin.database)

Re: New LEGO Toys Based on Jurassic Park III

(...) This was *exactly* my reaction. Thanks for putting it into words. Now people will really be able to build dragons. Jonathan (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.animation)

Re: New LEGO Toys Based on Jurassic Park III

(...) The larger dinos are *definitely* much larger than the Adventurers dinos. I was a little disappointed at first with the Juniorised feel of the sets, but as I studied the images I realised that, in fact, the same pieces (esp. the body pieces) (...)   Re: New LEGO Toys Based on Jurassic Park III

(...) What I mean is: Press releases happen for different reasons. So some PRs appear closer to their product's release date than others. depending on their intended purpose. At least that's the way I see it. -Suz (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.animation)

Re: New LEGO Toys Based on Jurassic Park III

(...) As per my above post, though many people did not get a chance to see them, lego sets were pictured which seemed to consist solely of single dinosaur figures. The ones pictured did not in any way refer to or imply association with the (...) (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.animation)

Re: New LEGO Toys Based on Jurassic Park III

(...) <<<< build >>>> ????? So is TLG insinuating that instead of the moulded pieces they've been including in sets such as Adventurers, these animals and dinosaurs will now need to be built using several pieces? -Kyle (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.animation)

Re: New LEGO Toys Based on Jurassic Park III

(...) In the case of Harry Potter, the brand-empowering prestige of having gotten the licence is leveraged ASAP. It wasn't hyped to consumers yet because that could have hurt holiday 2000 sales, plus a whole year wait was too much for consumers. (...) (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.animation)

Re: New LEGO Toys Based on Jurassic Park III

(...) These aren't those, not as far as I can tell. (...) These newer ones are pretty big. A what looked to me like a red crocodile/dragon head was the *tongue* in the T-Rex. Unfortunately, I don't have pictures I can share. eric (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.animation)

Re: New LEGO Toys Based on Jurassic Park III

(...) Star Wars I was definitely all over. I mean, SW is a quality license, and I'm a huge fan, so of course I was ecstatic. Disney, same thing. I mean, the established Mickeyverse characters. Well, I'm not a huge fan... but I mean it's been around (...) (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.animation)

Re: New LEGO Toys Based on Jurassic Park III

(...) The press release does not make specific mention of this but seems to support the dinosaur and baby dinosaur sets that were seen briefly on BrickShelf. see: (URL) the only documentation I can find. And frankly, if Lego is going to make (...) (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.animation)

Re: New LEGO Toys Based on Jurassic Park III

(...) Unfortuately Your right... I'm just getting worried that this whole licensing thing might be going a bit too far. I think Star Wars and Disney were interesting, Harry Potter was probably a good fit, Jack who?, Jurassic Park... why? isn't that (...) (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.animation)

Re: New LEGO Toys Based on Jurassic Park III
