Racing and .dat Files —Don Cox
Christian, I have ordered parts to make your racers, but if you could send me the MLCad .dat files, it would help in making up order lists. I want to do a series of spreadsheets with the parts of each car, then do a master spreadsheet listing the (...) (20 years ago, 16-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

Re: Racing and .dat Files —Chris Paton
Hi Don and Christian Hey, this sounds like a project! I am looking forward to seeing your track Don! Or will it be a photo-finish-MOC Christian? :) Chris P.S. I have begun work on the 1930's Paris-Dakar Rally idea. Basically using Christian's (...) (20 years ago, 19-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

(...) Yes, do you have any ideas for the rules? Anyone else? (...) Me too! (...) Maybe? (...) Neat. It somehow reminds me of a small Sd.Kfz.222. Are the wheels on springs? What is the lever/antenna/wiper at the front? Is there another tool on the (...) (20 years ago, 20-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

Re: Racing and .dat Files —Chris Paton
(...) Hi Christian Authenticity is not my strong point when it comes to cars/racers I have to admit. So, the lever on the front was more of an artistic "add-on" that grew from an idea that a starting handle might be necessary. The wheels are on (...)           Re: Racing —Christian Lindblad Rasmussen
(...) I wasn't able to find a set of rules but have browsed enough about Car Wars that I see two distinctly different options: A closed circuit with a pit.          Re: Racing and .dat Files —Christian Lindblad Rasmussen
(...) Hi, yes I did and it works great. Only problem (small though) is the slightly wider wheeltrack (gauge?). Christian (20 years ago, 30-Sep-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

Re: Racing and .dat Files —David Laswell
(...) Going strictly by physics, you should be able to go faster in the inner lane (which would be accurately represented by having less spaces), but you'll have greater control in the outer lane because you're turning in a larger radius (you could (...)    (...) In multiple lap races, engine wear and overheating will increace the possibility of engine failure. (...) Yes, the inner lane at the curve should be one movement space, and the outer lane 2 movement spaces. Thus a total of 3 racers could be on (...)         Re: Racing and .dat Files —Chris Paton
Hi Don I am pleased you started this thread/idea. There seems to be a lot of potential for "racing" and lots of ideas coming in. As a game that can be played at meetings I think it would be a lot of fun, bringing your own racer(s) and getting rated (...) (20 years ago, 21-May-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)
