Neat. It somehow reminds me of a small Sd.Kfz.222. Are the wheels on springs?
What is the lever/antenna/wiper at the front? Is there another tool on the
left side?

Hi Christian
Authenticity is not my strong point when it comes to cars/racers I have to
admit. So, the lever on the front was more of an artistic add-on that grew
from an idea that a starting handle might be necessary.
The wheels are on springs http://www.peeron.com/inv/parts/2484c01. There is
only one tool, a shovel. I based it loosely around your red renault racer. I
tried to incorporate a kind of roll cage system with two antennae behind the
driver - again more artistic than realistic. It was fun though!
Regarding rules for the races. Ill give it some thought. There could be a
whole range of modifiers like stamina/endurance, tactics and prestige for
example, all with different determiners. Experience points will essentially
build up the individual driver and cars potential etc and have an effect on
speed. Again, Ill give it some thought before I end up writing a D&D racers
guide. :)
However, it could be fun to have a race at a klodsfest, rather like some
meetings have a Brikwars etc. Players can come with their own racer or use a
default racer with predetermined stats. It could be a lot of fun with a ranking
system.
Thats fine for meetings - but how does that relate to international online
racing? Thats a question for Don I think.
As I say, Ill come back with some ideas - if they are unusable, thats also OK.
:)
Happy racing
Chris
P.S.
Christian - I hope to join Byggepladen soon - I sent an email today. So, I am
definitely interested in working further on the race idea. Also,
ideas/references for authenticity that might improve my rally racer(s) would be
appreciated.
