  Re: Arctic Adventurers

Well, I was going to snip so the conversation became clearer, but I figured I'd mix up the attribs, so basically this is in response to the Atlantis theme. Yes, I think it is good, because you could get away with both Grecian architecture (or (...) (26 years ago, 8-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

(...) I am sure you are correct. I mentioned it in order to spark conversation and ideas for sets. I don't remember having heard of it before but if I misrepresented I do apologize, I am not here to seek credit only chat with other collectors. (...) (...) (...) I've been getting Mania Magazine for several years now. I've kept all of them (I think), but I'll double check after work tonight and let you know exactly which ones I've got. Joel H. (26 years ago, 8-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

  No such luck

I still have not found anyone, even on ebay (gasp!) that has either the 3055 set or any of the Mania mags I am searching for. Oh well, someone is bound to be interested in my bounty for them someday. I guess all the money in the world can't buy you (...) (26 years ago, 8-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

(...) Right you are. I guess that's one of those mistakes you make after you see a movie 1000 times. He did go out with a smile though. Mark L (26 years ago, 8-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Great ideas

(...) You guys are making me smile now. And poor Dak, smiling blindly only moments before the big squish. Oh well he went out feeling like he could take on the whole Empire himself. And yes Johnny Thunder ought to be smiling too. Mark L (26 years ago, 8-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Great ideas

(...) I'll second that. Nothing makes me feel more like a happy little kid than a Lego smiley. That's a big reason why the Snowspeeder is my favorite Star Wars set- that smiling rebel. Sure, you could assemble your own, but it's nice to see that (...) (26 years ago, 8-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Great ideas

(...) Those were the good old days. A lego was a lego head, and they'd work anywhere. No stupid snarly faces, or snaggle-tooths, or constipated star heroes. Just uniform plastic happiness. :) Steve (26 years ago, 8-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Lego Mania back issues

Hey fellow Adventurers fans I am looking to get scans from some back issues of Lego Mania magazines. I am specifically looking to get scans of the Adventurers' comics from the following issues: Jan-Feb 1998 Nov-Dec 1998 Jan-Feb 1999 Jul-Aug 1999 If (...)   Arctic Adventurers? (was: favorite vehicles)

(...) Well, given that the Adventurers theme has so far depicted a world where mummies wander tombs and jungles are filled with perilous giant spiders, I imagine that any arctic setting would be "livened up" with a similar bit o' fantasy. Who knows (...) (26 years ago, 7-Oct-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

A lot of great ideas from Christian on future subthemes
