Re: Adventures of Johnny Thunder (Part 2)

Hey all, The next episode of Johnny's Adventure is now on Brickshelf. Check it out: (5 URLs) The whole gallery (when moderated): (URL) Steve (20 years ago, 15-Oct-04, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: A Question

(...) I asked about this at the last NY Toy Fair, and I was told that they aren't planning any new Adventurers sets, but they also aren't planning to drop the theme entirely. It's just a matter of them coming up with ideas that they want to run (...) (20 years ago, 6-Oct-04, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Atlantis (was: A Question)

(...) Yes this is something I have been thinking about for a while. More in the line of expanding the Orient Expedition game though. Everyone could make one or more modules (16x16 or 16x32) that fits the game sections. Each module could have a trap, (...) (20 years ago, 11-Oct-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Re: Atlantis (was: A Question)

(...) I've been thinking about this a bit this morning. Would anyone be interested in taking the modular idea another step, and creating some sort of Adventurers game? Maybe something similar to the BrickQuest game? I'm thinking something along the (...) (20 years ago, 11-Oct-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Re: Atlantis (was: A Question)

(...) Great idea about the Atlantis-based suggestions for models! We need settings and vehicles, both Atlantide and Adventurers. I like the idea about a first year with on-land activities and a second year of under-water exploration. For those who (...) (20 years ago, 11-Oct-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

(...) Hello Steve You are quite right, we need more posts here. Your story has a good start, I am looking forward to seeing more! Christian (20 years ago, 11-Oct-04, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Adventures of Johnny Thunder

Hey all, Wanted to do a Halloween story and since the Adventurers group seems to be pretty dead most of the time, I thought I would do a Johnny Thunder adventure. So without further ado, I present my first Adventurer project: The Adventures of (...) (20 years ago, 11-Oct-04, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: A Question

(...) How about Johnny Thunder vs. the Martians? The first year would revolve around the Adventurers' struggle against the Martian invaders - imagine the whole line with an H.G. Wells/steampunk interpretation: Steam-powered truck Professor (...) (20 years ago, 9-Oct-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Atlantis (was: A Question)

(...) Atlantis seems to be the most favorite (or at least, the most discussed) sub-theme for new sets. Just wondering if anyone would want to try putting together a "sectional" standard for an Atlantis project, similar to the Moonbase project (or (...)   Re: A Question

(...) A while back (late 2000), I had considered doing some mocs around a 'Adventurers on Mars' theme, in the vein of pulp sci-fi mags from the 1930s. Then TLG came out with the 'Life on Mars' theme, and I lost interest. It'd still make a nice (...) (20 years ago, 8-Oct-04, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Future of the Adventurer's Theme

(...) LEGO has already put out too many sets in the $100.00 range. For kids with poor parents and us retired folks, we can only afford one of these sets every couple of months. It takes most of my spare funds just to afford to go to Brickfest. (...) (20 years ago, 8-Oct-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Re: A Question

(...) Thanks for the link! You'd think I would have seen your page earlier, but it's great to know that others have the same (and more) ideas and hope for this theme. How's about Johnny Thunder and Treasure of the Volcano? (a take on Journey to the (...) (20 years ago, 8-Oct-04, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

  Re: A Question

(...) Ken, I've been reading the other replies to your post. I like the idea of Atlantis, but I think the idea was (over)done by Disney with their movie just a few years ago.
