Re: Dino Reasearch Compound, convince me to buy

I'll second that, where did you find such a deal, I would love to get one for $40. -Jason Spears (...) (24 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: Dino Reasearch Compound, convince me to buy

(...) Where did you find it for $40? Is it somewhere in California or Nevada? Steve (24 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: Dino Reasearch Compound, convince me to buy

(...) Despite my recent rant regarding the athestically absent color scheme of this set, I HAVE to agree with all the previous ostsss regarding the pluses of the compound. The little bits (truck, plane, boat) are built with the great attention to (...) (24 years ago, 22-Feb-01, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: Dino Reasearch Compound, convince me to buy

(...) I recently did the inventory for this set: (URL) agree that the parts are superb... As for play value, there's not only a building but a truck, two-pilot plane, and rowboat as well; and the upper stories use tiles so they can lift off just (...)   Re: Dino Reasearch Compound, convince me to buy

(...) That 24x24 brickplate with the quarter circle cut-out comes to mind. I'm like you - contemplating another one at full price (or 15% sale at Zellers), and if I found them at 50% off, I'd be hard-pressed to not buy all I could find. James (24 years ago, 22-Feb-01, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: Dino Reasearch Compound, convince me to buy

(...) $40? Wow, I'd definitely buy a 2nd one for that... some reasons: - over 50 2x2 brown bricks (well, Ok, so S@H has these now) - bunch of tan arches - large-ish brown plates - 'old style' plant leaves - Xtreme low dk-grey slopes with that (...) (24 years ago, 22-Feb-01, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: Dino Reasearch Compound, convince me to buy

(...) Brown plates & bricks. :) Loads of 2x2 brown bricks, several tan 1x6 arch bricks. Quite a few things that move or drop or fling if play value is your goal. At $40, if you don't want it, I'll take another one. ;) (24 years ago, 22-Feb-01, to lugnet.adventurers)

Dino Reasearch Compound, convince me to buy

Ok. Someone please convince me that the Dino Research compound is worth $40. It doesn't appear to be a very good model or have much play value. $40 seems a bit high for a few dinosaurs. We already have the T-rex. Rose (24 years ago, 22-Feb-01, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Jungle Adventures t-shirt

(...) Just an update for anyone else who may be interested in acquiring the LEGO Jungle Adventures t-shirt: I received mine yesterday, so they actually do have a few in stock. Gail Olmstead (Gail Storm) (24 years ago, 22-Feb-01, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Weird Science Digging Machine

(...) definitely the way I want to go, the tiles were tossed on kinda last minute (I was literally ready to head out the door for a possible SEALUG meeting) but yeah, they could definitely go. The train/FTV canopy is there because I had two, one on (...) (24 years ago, 22-Feb-01, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.underground)

Sean Forbes wrote in message ... (...) machine (...) in. (...) If you think that it looks too high-tech, you might want to try: -removing the patterned tiles, they definitely look too high-techy. -removing the train-cabin canopy, maybe... although (...)   Re: Weird Science Digging Machine

(...) in. (...) Thanks, the Nile Empire's weird science has always been my favorite. In fact, now that I've borrowed a couple more drills from Mark "Muffin-Head" Sandling, I'm planning on pulling apart the current design and rebuilding the arms to (...)   Re: Weird Science Digging Machine

(...) Very nice! My first TORG character was a gadget hero from the Nile Empire. My second one should be fairly obvious. :D eric (24 years ago, 18-Feb-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.underground)

  Weird Science Digging Machine

Hey all! I've (possibly) finished up my weird science digging machine. Right now, I don't have an appropriately Weird Science-ish name, but I'm thinking of Multi-modular-terra-extractor. (URL) a little more high-tech looking than what I had (...) (24 years ago, 18-Feb-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.underground)

  Re: Jungle Adventures t-shirt

In reference to the Jungle Adventurers t-shirt, I had called LEGO Shop-at-Home today to order some of their limited quantity items, and as an afterthought I asked if they had any Jungle Adventurers t-shirts in stock. I was told there were a (...) (24 years ago, 16-Feb-01, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: Jungle Adventures t-shirt

(...) Thanks, Christian! I will call them. I saw a link to them on your site which included their phone number. I was looking at that link because my kids have been eating containers of Dannon yogurt in an attempt to win a trip there! BTW, (...) (24 years ago, 14-Feb-01, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Jungle Adventures t-shirt

Where can I obtain the Jungle Adventures t-shirt in Adult size L or XL? I have tried lego.com online and it says 'not available'.   Re: Monthly MOC: Pearson Patrol Car from the 1920'ies

Re: Monthly MOC: Pearson Patrol Car from the 1920'ies

(...) The level of detail is amazing on this one Christian. I love the shovel stored away underneath. The blueprints are a great help as well! Sean (24 years ago, 8-Feb-01, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)
