  Re: lugnet.design

(...) Hmm - actually I think lugnet.build.theory might be a better name, in keeping with .market.theory The idea being to have a group that talks about the design ideas in an abstract way without being full of MOC announcements & praise (which is (...)   Re: lugnet.design

(...) OK, I'll bite... What is wrong with .build? Maybe you arn't going into the subgroups of build? There is .build.arch for architecture, and .build.mecha for Mecha etc.? Sorry but just suggesting a group without expaining Why it is a good idea (...) (24 years ago, 24-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.nntp)

  Re: lugnet.design

(...) Not a bad idea... but this should go in lugnet.admin.nntp I believe... However, as a hierarchicalist, I'd suggest lugnet.build.design instead. FUT: lugnet.admin.nntp (24 years ago, 23-Mar-01, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.nntp)

  Re: Bionicle is not Technic

Re: Reducing the level of chatter in lugnet.lego.direct

(...) What browser was used? With Netscape at least, I regularly see it give up after a transaction is only partly done (I've never experienced this during a post, only during a read). The more I experience HTTP, the more I feel it's a broken (...) (24 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.nntp)

Re: Reducing the level of chatter in lugnet.lego.direct

(...) It is strange. I checked the server logs and what's shown in the incoming webpage form log matches the message that appeared. In other words, what the server received when you clicked "Post Message" on the web is exactly what your browser sent (...) (24 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.nntp)

Re: Reducing the level of chatter in lugnet.lego.direct

Well this is a first. Only part of this message got posted. LUGNET was extremely slow last night, bogging and timing out left, right, and centre. I never thought that only part of a message could end up being posted. Man I really don't want to type (...) (24 years ago, 22-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.nntp)

[I finally trimmed lugnet.lego.direct..., I just now remembered Todd's "Murphy's Law" post.] (...) Well, I didn't read anything in Todd's proposal that specifically addresses cross-posting or redirection. He only proposes what would be done for (...)   Re: Official vs. unofficial LEGO postings

(...) Conveyance, as I used it, is the mode of submission. Lugnet is the publisher of all posts herein. Posts may be submitted by authors on a variety of paper types (aka email address domains). Just not in this case In this case, if Jake, for example, posts something from a personal address and says "this is the real deal" I am only infinitesimally less likely to trust its (...)   Re: Open Source Lego

  Re: A letter to Todd

(...) Not much of an apology. I hear all sorts of nonsense on TV. However, I have to sense to know what is on TV is not necessarily right or wrong. Basically, I rely on my own (corrupt?) values to let me know what is right or wrong - not TV. Scott A (...) (24 years ago, 21-Mar-01, to lugnet.admin.nntp)
