In some groups, the amount of traffic can matter more. But after reading how
Todd Lehman set up lugnet.lego.direct, it matters less. Consider the
lugnet.scala group: it has almost no traffic, but it serves to allow
discussion regarding a certain, largely unpopular, product.

Sure, it's possible. And most of the time posts from Jake or Tomas cover
several subjects in an organized fashion. So in a sense, breakdowns are
provided. Yet I doubt that no one at TLC will be terminated from their job
because they don't communicate with Lugnet, unless of course if that's [part
of] someone's job.

While that has a tendency frustrate folks, it doesn't necessarily mean that
Lugnetters will abandon the group. As far as TLC is concerned "not
answering" doesn't always mean "not reading". It could however indicate the
level of busy (or discouragement) that the usual answerers are experiencing.
