Well, as in you're not logged in because you are either not a member, you're
not accepting cookies, or something else.

Oh? So PGP authorization is currently in effect for members who have
uploaded their PGP key and post with NNTP/SMTP? I.E. they don't have to use
the authentication via email assuming they have a valid PGP key?
I guess that's true though (about choice)-- you could just authenticate by
PGP/cookie if either were available, and in their abscence authenticate via
email. Unless for some reason they still want to authenticate via email even
when a PGP key/cookie is supplied.
