It was not a serious suggestion - and it should not be read as such :-)

Thanks for wasting our time.  :-/

I find curios the fact that Todd appears to be asking members to rate • posts
for the benefit of BJ - and not for the LUGNET readership.

Rate for usefulness and appropriateness to the .lego.direct group -- the
purpose of which is a communication channel to LEGO Direct (i.e., Brad).
With that in mind, rate for both Brad and everyone else, but it's in
everyone's best interest long-term for the scales to be tipped toward how
useful something is to LEGO.

I'd rather it was tipped towards us. Lego is posting here to make money out
of us, and lets not forget it. BJ would be deluded if he was to rely solely
on the responses of this post to gauge how well LD is going to work. There
are far better ways of collected data on this. If I was cynical (I'm not
today), I could argue that his posts are nothing more than marketing at
minimal cost.

It doesn't do us any good if Brad has to waste
his time reading messages that are irrelevant to him.  (Again, only Brad • can
truly clarify what he might find useful -- I'm just extrapolating from the
bits & pieces I know so far.)

Since LEGO is a company, anyone from LEGO participating in an official • manner
is doing so on company time (or in spare time after-hours, but it's still
"a job") and they don't have infinite amounts of time to spend reading
absolutely everything.  Suggestions about types of elements we'd like to
purchase -- or about quantities, or about buying consortiums -- are far • more
helpful to LEGO Direct than suggestions about new themes or speculation • and
arguing about whether or not it would be cost-effective for LEGO to make
custom-decorated elements.
