Yup - it is very subjective, when several people vote it becomes more
meaningful.. but when there is only one or two then you shouldn't assume that
everyone likes or dislikes your post.. as it is entirely unrepresentative!

Given that that group is our interface with LD, it makes us look like a bunch
of people who have not time for each other's opinion. I still can not
understand why a reader should feel so strongly about a post that they vote <20
on it, but yet are not prepared to leave a comment. Cowardly.

(...) You can't be serious...(?) A post getting a rating <20 in that group simply means that the person rating it didn't think it would be useful to Brad (90% of the posts probably aren't useful at all to LEGO or to Brad -- but that's not (...) (24 years ago, 18-Apr-00, to lugnet.admin.general) !

(...) I use the web-interface for 100% of my LUGNET usage.. and most of the time I don't even notice the rating a post gets when I'm reading through a thread.
