indicate content-depth, and the level of community.

- few messages per thread could mean
   - quick correct answers
   - nobody cares to discuss anything
- many messages per thread could mean
   - flame wars
   - long detailed discussions

Good points.  It can be argued that massive flame-war threads *are*
indicative of the level of community.  If only because people care enough
to get into long-winded pointless debates.

What about some kind of "inflamability measure" of the
posts?

Not sure about this, except to look for posts with "FLAME ON" in the
body...
