Re: Suspension of Chris Magno and Terry P

(...) Is it required? (...) Then I object again. (...) And yet, Admins can insult and berate sarcastically and have no warnings or admonishment of any kind? (...) Kevin (16 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

  Re: Bye, bye LUGNET

(...) You are in good company! That's exactly why that usage was invented some time in the last couple of centuries. You could also read it as "Oh my gosh" or even "Oh my golly". Gosh and golly (euphemisms for God) were also invented to stop people (...) (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Another Suspension

(...) I should note that, in accordance with our given policy, Larry's posting abilities have been revoked for all of Lugnet. The suspension is for 24 hrs beginning right now (9pm EST). -Lenny Hoffman LUGNET Admin Member #1168 (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

  Re: Another Suspension

(...) I formally acknowledge that the LUGNET ToU applies to me as much as it does to anyone else, and that the post referenced (which has been cancelled) contained inappropriate and disrespectful remarks.   Re: Bye, bye LUGNET

(this is a repost with some inappropriate language and phrasing removed) (...) You posted a post that contained a word that clearly violates the ToU.   Re: Suspension of Chris Magno and Terry P

(...) Crass and rude insults *will* be tolerated it seems. I think, the last para of this is (URL) post> is crass, rude and insulting to several users. -snip- (...) Nope. Not by a long shot. Regards Richie Dulin (16 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

Re: Suspension of Chris Magno and Terry P

(...) Not entirely true. Chris (URL) his contest out of respect for Todd - which shows that Chris does not respect Todd's choices in who Todd has elevated to Admin status. (...) It followed the established process for suspensions. An Admin proposed (...) (16 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

  Re: wish's

(...) Yes. Weeks. This has been brewing for weeks, It only piqued in the last few days. But people have been bickering (from both sides) on this topic for weeks. (...) All your words are on the good list, but your tone is clearly provacative. Do you (...) (20 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Suspension of Chris Magno and Terry P

(...) I object. Chris withdrew is contest out of respect for lugnet. I do think there are problems with the rules and their administration by some of the admins. I believe that both are workable while reenstating the respectful tone that we all used (...) (16 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

(...) No, they can't. I'm totally at a loss. PS: You might wanna review you links before you post next time, the examples of posts by Chris point to the same post. ROSCO (16 years ago, 4-Mar-05, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

  Re: Email address question

(...) Call it inspired. I need to be getting more active in my Admin role, especially in getting information where it logically should be.   Re: wish's

(...) I don't see him posting this contest here. He posted on "JLUG". There's a difference. (...) First, they're your words in that post.   Suspension of Chris Magno and Terry P

Chris Magno has been suspended indefinately for baiting and personal attacks. Specifically his 'contest' to drive out Lugnet Administrator Larry Pieniazek shows his rampant disrespect for Lugnet, the Lugnet Administration, and for the Lugnet ToU. (...) (...) I guess he took the gloves off too. (...) In your own words, why do you see it that way? (...) Is cross-posting creating problems?   Admins (Re: wish's - Contest canceled)

(...) For much of its history, lugnet has had very little active policing of posts by admins.
