  Re: lugnet.cad hierarhcy

(...) Days, weeks, months, or years? (...) Not necessarily disagreeing, but isn't it likely that a developer who cares about these issues would read the other groups, and that a developer who does not care about these issues would ignore the issues (...)   Re: lugnet.trains.org newsgroup?

(...) I hope I didn't cause any heart attacks or spasms by mentioning things like lugnet.trains.org.pnltc and lugnet.x.y.z.baylug -- these were just mentioned as examples for the sake of planning. I understand that pnltc.org and baylug.org folks are (...) (26 years ago, 15-Apr-99, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf.sj, lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf, lugnet.trains)

  Re: lugnet.trains.org newsgroup?

I totally agree with Dan on the club's mission... but I think that club members from the same or different clubs can use .train to discuss train club stuff. After all it is all about LEGO trains. (...) I understand that concern. Here are some things to think about though -- Current traffic levels aren't really very accurate predictors of future traffic levels after a split. Difficult to tell, but critical mass isn't much of a metric here as it is on Usenet, mainly because groups are archived and easily past-browseable and because it is so easy to create new groups and receive them as mailing (...) (...) Sorry, I didn't mean it like that. (Not that there's anything wrong with being old.) By "elders" I just meant "old-timers" or "well-versed participants" in the sense of people who have been around the group for a long time and know the ins and (...)   Re: posting failure?
