Re: Allow posting & FUT to member email

(...) The problem with allowing FUT:poster (as pointed out before) is that web posters get no chance to override it when they reply. You could get around this by allowing "poster" in the "newsgroups" field too (probably only without any other NGs), (...) (23 years ago, 9-Apr-02, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: From-line registration?

Be sure to allow someone to have SEVERAL email addresses registered. Sometimes you don't have a lot of control of your From address and it can change depending on the machine setup (for some reason I have no clue, my email sometimes comes as from (...)   Re: Proper place to post US S@H Phone Specials

(...) I would not like to see posts to the <lugnet.loc.us>, keeping that group free for national discussions (if we ever have any). I much prefer giving these announcements their own unique news group. I would even probably subscribe to the (...) (26 years ago, 1-Jan-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: The name/purpose of the QOTD group

(...) There's another icky sticky problem with moderated groups. When you post to one, your message disappears into the wild blue yonder. You don't find out whether your post made it there or not until you either see it minutes/ hours/days later or (...) (25 years ago, 7-May-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: RTL posting stats (was Re: Lugnet Newsgroups Anniversary!)

Matthew Miller: (...) Thanks. It looks like the ration of "commercial" posts is increasing steadily. Could you also plot the different categories as percentages of the total? (...) Hmm, I use 4.75 at home, I think I've also used 4.72. In my Communicator, the row of buttons has two reply buttons, one for reply to newsgroup and one for reply to sender and newsgroup. Also, if I click the reply to sender and newsgroup, the (...) (24 years ago, 2-Jan-01, to lugnet.admin.nntp)

Re: Question: Why allow postings of lego.direct on lugnet at all?

It is against the clear desires and directions of the admins and the community (so a post or e-mail asking (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.admin.terms)

I'm sorry that I haven't been around much lately. FYI, it's because my wedding planning is in high-gear.
