If you go to Steve Hassenplug's site ((URL) you'll find a comparison of the various text based programming environments including NXC, ROBOTC, LUA, and JAVA. I'd like to thanks everybody who helped me get my rcx up and running on my Mac... I am now using NQC though I will probably order Robolab and/or IC in the near future just for the sake of having them. I've found that NQC/MPW is a little buggy in (...) (25 years ago, 4-Mar-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) NQC/MPW crashed whenever it tried to communicate with the rcx (downloading firmware, programs, etc). But now that I have disabled Virex 5.9, it's working like a gem. Thanks for the help. (25 years ago, 5-Mar-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Hello... I'd like to ask two questions regarding my H.B; Q.1) If I cut the motors power-trace on the H.B to connect an external 24 volt dc power supply. Thanks, everyone, this is very helpful. (Thanks to Steve especially for that very handy comparison table.) I should have mentioned up front that I'm using a Mac, so that rules out a couple of otherwise interesting options. But NXC looks like a good (...)
